It ain’t that we ain’t about that life it’s just people attempting to use 1960s tactics on modern issues.

People boycotted and all this talk about COMMUNITY was wen there was physically a community because we lived in segragated communities. And there were local problems that could be handled as such.

Now you wanna boycott a company that has Black people working there. And not like TWO people, a significant amount.

I didn’t even read the whole thing, it’s a foregone conclusion that boycotts, especially knee jerk reaction boycotts are silly.

And it’s much more complex than even that but the basic Gist is Black people are way more integrated and assimilated into America than these faux revolutionaries would ever wanna admit, even though it’s actuallh a good thing. N

That's probably the best point ever made about this issue. Damn.

The government when the private industry was unwilling to bring a mass-market electric car to the market, they funded a startup to do just that. If there is systemic racism in an industry such as financial services or automobile than the same thing could be use to fund a minority owned ventures. This would be much better than investigating thousands of claims of discrimination which is inefficient.

Obama could have done this when he bailed out the big three, he could've issued a loan to a minority investor to buy Chrysler or GM after bankruptcy when they were worthless.

At one time, whites held on to the belief that they were superior athletically much the same way they hold on to this belief that they are intellectually superior. Hitler actually believed that Jesse Owens would lose to his Aryan athletes, today it would be laughable for a person to hold this belief after many Olympics, collegiate, and professional events. There was race riots when a black boxer became the heavyweight champion which resulted in 30 people dying.

These beliefs came about because of segregation which prevented interracial athletics from happening which gave them the false belief of superiority. I believe that we could change the perception of us if given an opportunity to manufacture cars.

There was a time I would've never consided buying a car that wasn't American built. Those days are long over. Not that Japanese cars are better, more about American corporations have repeatedly proven themselves unworthy of our dedication aka our dollars.

US car makers through automation eliminating jobs is one thing, that's called progress. But sending jobs outside the country should've never been permitted. The government shares a major part of the blame allowing that to happen.

Instead of letting the Chinese buy these companies when they go bankrupt or selling them to the Europeans like they did Chrysler, a viable option for Pres. Obama would have been to give them to minority investors and providing capital. The Chinese and Europeans have plenty of car manufacturers. This can be done for a lot of companies facing bankruptcy such as Sears Kmart, or financial services like Citibank, the government could intervene and turn these companies over to minority ownership.
