Lets be real here i'm not one of those people who blame the worlds social ills on single mothers or women for that matter but realistically when you are dating a woman can you tell from talking to her if she has any goals in life or if she is self centered or a gold digger? After a few conversations i can spot that nonsense a mile away.
Not all women get pregnant from drug dealers they seem to get pregnant by alot of men with commitment issues, they seem to get pregnant by alot of dudes who aren't ready for a family. And alot of these same women think to themselves its ok this baby will "fix" it he will commit now or this baby will make him ready to be a father and they guessed WRONG. While I don't think marriage will eradicate the social ills of society, I feel that the family home has been broken so much to the point where the idea of having children in wedlock seems archaic and outdated.
Just based from personal my experiences of encountering others, the people I knew from a married home tended to be more well balanced than those from a single parent home. Now I am in no way saying that they were better than them, it's just that they tended to have more family values instilled in them. The kids hanging about in the street at night felt like they had nothing to go home to (especially the males) while those with a two parent family with both mom and dad couldn't wait to get home.
Like I said, of course there are exceptions to the rules. One obvious example is Obama. Raised in a single parent home and now he's the president. But still, having said that, it would be ridiculous to blame this incident on a single mother when you don't have the full details. But we must stop acting like bringing a child up in a two parent home is outdated, has it gotten that bad? There was a time a woman would be embarrassed to have a child out of wedlock but now its almost like a badge of honor. And just as bad as the guys who are proud to have multiple baby mamas.
Women should aspire to be a 'wife' and not someone's 'babydaddy' and the same goes for those men. But one important thing I must state. When it comes down to it, women decide which men sleep with them and men decide who they wifey. Women choose who they open their legs to and men decide who they get down on one knee to. So let's be real, if you're opening your legs to a man you didn't marry, you get pregnant and he runs off, you really shouldn't expect sympathy. Responsibility does lie with the two consenting adults but if you're going to be carrying another man's seed, you better make sure he's gonna be there.
