This is Lagos - The City so big it needs it own thread

Oh I thought we were discussing nation to nation and not a certain group. In that case not all Nigerians care about the US like that.
Nah some of your people come over here and just dog Black Americans like y’all better than us. We laid the ground work that allows y’all to even come here. Of course it’s not all y’all but one is too many

Just as there are many African Americans that look down on Africans and say awful things about them including members of this board. While we appreciate your efforts, please be aware that America is not the only migration destination for Nigerians.

You talking about the resident ADOS clowns? Fuck them

Am I wrong though? I’m more disappointed than anything . That is our original home. There should be zero disrespect for us . It ain’t like we came here by choice
I still don’t get the connection between the state of Lagos today and forced slavery.
You do understand that Slavery took place in the Caribbean, Brazil etc and Nigerians go there too with no issues.

Many think slavery, oppression, disrespect, and the struggle for equality and freedom only happened in America. It's not a bubble. It's a globe.

I’m specifically talking about America since I’m American. I don’t know what Nigerians say about them. But here? I’ve heard way too much down talking while ignoring why shit is this way. It’s like an adoption of European immigrant thought

Exactly. I used to think that slavery only took place in the U.S. I was shocked at the scale of slavery in the Caribbean and Brazil. We will not even get into apartheid and colonization of African nations.

When ever there are different groups these type of things will happen. Nigerians talk more serious shit about their own indigenous folks. Yorubas talk down to Igbos and vice versa.
But I can tell you that a majority of Nigerians do not let others rent space in their head, so you don’t have much to worry about.

Yo, everyday I realize we are on a dumb selfish planet. The reason why we are still enslaved is we are still fighting one another. Start looking at history. The minority of pan-African leaders across the historical threshold should not be the only people fighting for liberation. The first step to liberation is to acknowledge that you are still enslaved. The second step is to educate yourselves. A lot of my fellow American brothers don't know squat shit about history. You just go off of hearsay and don't do any investigation. Africans in the diaspora must unite. Whatever act we think we have done to one another we must forgive. Time for a change and the change is now.

All of this is in reference to what exactly?
