I remember we did. WWE cooked up this list so it wouldn't be accurate or anything. You can tell they threw in some current guys so kids can see some names they recognize because their audience today probably don't know 10-15 of these guys.

That's stupid logic for them in the age of YouTube and Google/Bing.

Hollywood Hogan was easily him at his best as far as promos. Shawn Michaels could be good but I never felt like he was good enough to sell a feud.

The list is all sorts of messed up. I still don't get how Santino got on there.

Dick Murdoch was associated with being a friend of the KKK in his personal life but he was a great talker. His Mid South and Central State Championship promos were great. Him and JYD was a great team in Mid South. Murdoch appealled to all the redneck fans and JYD had the black southern fans on lock. I don't like Murdoch for his questionable associations but his promos were damn good.

While that may be true the fact that he was part of the kkk means he will never get props/respect from me ever, and i proudly discredit anything he's ever done.

In trying to see the silver lining in a dark cloud

I don't see Kane and Show in main event feuds will be big drawing cards, I get that they're paying them back for the hard work they put in over the last couple years in putting over a lot of young talent, such as Mason Ryan, Dolph Ziggler, Ezekiel Jackson and Wade Barrett. Creative dropping the ball on every single one of them isn't their fault, they did what veterans are supposed to do and that's elevate and sell for younger guys and now they're being rewarded for it.

Ah, the "Handsome Half Breed" was great. I can't imagine how good he would have been in a territory that booked stronger heels and that was in the works (him going to Crockett) when he died.

ALEX SHELLEY GONE FROM TNA
by Mike Johnson @ 11:52 PM on 5/29/2012

Alex Shelley was officially removed from the TNA roster on their website today, which is always a sign that the talent has departed the company. There have been reports floating that Shelley had turned down a renewal of his contract

Just what TNA needed: one less tag team

Well this sucks for Sabin since he will always be a MCMG, he better hope he's charismatic enough to be a singles star since tag team is probably out of the question.

The late Gary Hart said he was talking to Dusty about bringing Hernandez in. That would have been great and he probably could have been either a Horseman or a great babyface to go against them and the Midnight Express.

It does but Sabin, even more than Shelley, was an established X-Division star and multiple time former champion so he might be okay.

I would've preferred he stay heel since he seemed so natural at it.

Well if they start to showcase the X title like they used to then he'll be fine, until then i see him coming back and wandering around aimlessly.

I would've preferred he stay heel since he seemed so natural at it.

He was a great heel but Crockett at that time was a crowded market for top heels. I'm sure if they made him a face, he would have just as good based on his own talent and the Dusty's booking. Dude got Jimmy Garvin over a face and serious World title contender and that was no small feat.

Well if they start to showcase the X title like they used to then he'll be fine, until then i see him coming back and wandering around aimlessly.

You know that comes and goes. They were pushing it and now they've slowed down (while still pushing the champ Austin Aries). That division is deep and they could go right back to having at least one X-Division match on each show if they wanted to and it be a different match every week.

The Fight Club Chicago interview with Jim Duggan
Host: Steven Muehlhausen
Interview available at Sportstownchicago.com/fightclub.

Duggan on how contracts changed the pro wrestling business: "Yeah, I think that was when the business started changing. Contracts started getting involved. Guys started worrying about their own personal image and how they would move on from one company to another. That was the change from the old days when you would pass the torch if you were leaving. You did the job for the guy."

Duggan on Steve Austin: "The guy did the job for you. That was the first time I saw that where Austin was worried about taking care of himself and went down with the bogus injury shortly into the match. I had words with him right after it happened and the little bit right then. Of course he went on to have an outstanding and unbelievable career. Obviously, the guy was very talented, not my favorite person to say the least."

Can't say im surprised if true since Austin notoriously held Jarrett down during the "attitude era".

Austin was usually pretty good about doing business but I hated the way he held down Jarrett. I remember thinking Jeff and Steve had to have a feud but it never happened and when I found out why, I was disappointed.

But, this right here, I have to side with Steve, at least a little. He was the hot guy in WCW, on his way to the World title and then Hogan came in and brought his buddies and it was over. His push was over and he was below washed up has beens like Duggan. And is Duggan saying his injury wasn't legit? I seem to remember it was and kept him out action for months except a three way match in ECW.

I get him not wanting to lose Duggan because the hot shot emerging star losing to an over the hill wrestler amkes no sense. Austin didn't job much but he would do it out of respect/necessity(except Lesnar).

Randy Orton has been suspended for 60 days for his second violation of WWE's Wellness Policy.
Fuck him. I hate Orton anyway.

Tensai failed to impress WWE officials in his pinfall victory over John Cena on the April 16 Raw SuperShow in London, England and was deemed "a flop" as a result. He was initially pegged to face Cena at the company's Over the Limit and No Way Out pay-per-view events but his poor showing in the main event match led to his push being curtailed and Big Show taking his place. WWE also canceled plans for summer live events to be headlined by Tensai and John Laurinaitis vs. Cena, instead replacing the former tattoo artist with Big Show.

Though Tensai has yet to be defeated on television, he suffered his first pinfall loss before a WWE crowd in a dark match following Monday's Raw SuperShow—to Cena. He is being largely relegated to WWE Superstars while his character is retooled. He has already undergone tweaks as he appeared sans robe, competed more aggressively and had his named modified within the past two weeks. More changes could be in the works as there was talk this past week of additional modifications.

TOP WWE STAR SUSPENDED FOR 60 DAYS
by Richard Trionfo & Mike Johnson @ 7:16 PM on 5/30/2012

WWE announced today that Randy Orton was suspended effective today for sixty days for his second violation of the WWE Wellness Policy.
Orton was suspended in 2006 by the company for 60 days as well, later admitting in WWE Magazine he was suspended for smoking marijuana backstage in a locker room.

While discussing his anger management issues in the September 2006 issue of the Magazine, Orton said, "My problems came to a head when I decided to smoke a joint and someone smelled it and stooged me off. You know who you are, so if you're reading this, thanks. But I also had a few outbursts of anger on the road. I get loud and verbally abusive. But I've nipped that part of me in the bud. I attended an anger management clinic in Atlanta. It cost 15 grand for a four-week stay. I had to live down there on the campus. The first week I was there, I was like, OK, I'll do what I have to do to get out of here." But then I started to realize, wow, I was wrong in a lot of these situations. I just got this reputation of being hard to work with, being a d**k and everything in the book. But the truth is, I don't flip out anymore."

Orton will not be able to return to action for the company until 7/30, leaving him out of the next two planned WWE PPVs, the 7/3 Live Smackdown and the 7/23 Raw 1000th episode. That would put him back at the 7/30 Raw taping in Cincinnati, Ohio. In total, Orton will miss 35 scheduled WWE dates, including a number of house shows where he was in main event positions.

The loss of Orton hurts the Smackdown side of things from a storyline-perspective, but opens the doors for current World champion Sheamus to step up. The company has John Cena working Smackdown tapings for the next few months, which should offset the loss of Orton as well.

I saw Cena was going to be working SD, I thought it was just to get the houses up but they knew this in the works.

I remember when Orton was shitting in folks bags. Nasty fucker.

Yeah WWE needs to just call him Albert or A-Train and have him kick ass.

I never understood what they saw in Albert anyway. He's not Vince's type. His gimmick is like a straight-to-DVD Steven Segal movie. A chunky white dude as a Japanese warrior? Nobody wants to see that shit. He's stiff as shit.

Unless they plan on bringing him back as A-Train with a bikini-clad Trish Stratus, they might as well scrap him altogether and just season Ryback or Mason Ryan.

As Gail Kim and Christopher Daniels and Kazarian have proven you can leave and then come back if things don't work out. Worst case scenario is that he gets hurt but beyond that anytime in the WWE would probably allow him to charge more in the Indys or maybe he gets the hookup in Japan like MVP. Besides I don't know if I'd want to be in TNA right now with Hogan and Bischoff still having pull when they have already failed to do much with me.

speaking of gail..she now wifed up by a Food Network star

robert-irvine-440.jpg

Super-fit Food Network star Robert Irvine has met his match – in both heart and physique.

On Thursday, Restaurant: Impossible host Irvine, 46, wed professional wrestler Gail Kim, 35, in Napa Valley, Calif.

Kim is the reigning titleholder of the TNA (Total Nonstop Action) Women's Knockout Championship. Also a former WWE Women's champion, she once wrestled under the ring name "La Felina." The couple met on the set of Irvine's show, Dinner: Impossible.

The British chef handled all the logistics of wedding planning, leaving his bride-to-be with one assignment: to show up looking "as beautiful as she always does," he has said.

"My total surprise wedding for [Gail] is almost done, she has no knowledge of what's going on and I am surprising her," he Tweeted Wednesday.

Fellow chef pal Melissa d'Arabian attended the service, as well as Michael Chiarello, Guy Fieri and Masaharu Morimoto, who cooked for the event and won a shout-out for "amazing food and friendship" from the groom.

Tweeted D'Arabian (along with a photo): "Beautiful, fresh sushi by Morimoto....perfect way to open cocktail hour at @robertirvine1 heartfelt wedding."

Guy Fieri "cooked a multitude of amazing dishes for my rehearsal dinner," wrote Irvine. "All our guests were blown away."

"I'm the luckiest girl in the world," Tweeted Kim. "Now I know what little girls dream of."

This has to be Orton's 90th suspension, and just like a top NBA player will never get that 6th foul Orton will never get that 3rd strike. If we're going to be real HHH Cena & some other people have most likely failed a test but had it covered up in some way.

As for A-Train he's like Samson because when he shaved his body hair he lost his strength:lol:

The Return of Attitude

Road to Wrestlemania is dead.

Enter: Attitude Era mode.

Despite the fact that the Attitude Era is a well-documented part of history, THQ’s goal here is not to reinvent the past, to change things just for the sake of doing so. This single-player mode is an abridged recreation of a memorable time in sports entertainment, allowing players to journey through various storylines as eight of the most popular superstars of that time, including “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.

The chapter-based saga moves through WWE’s struggle and eventual triumph during the so-called “Monday Night Wars,” which saw the company on the brink of defeat at the hands of a powerful rival, WCW. Told from the perspective of the WWE during that period, matches and in-game cutscenes are supplemented by superb video packages assembled by WWE’s own editors. These short vignettes put matches, feuds and larger industry developments into perspective, not only keeping the overall story going, but giving a bit of a history lesson in the process.

The "Attitude Era" sold me already and they finally have the old Raw Is War set back, but if they're going to have that be the selling point then why not have the cover be a half/half face pic or a f2f of Stone Cold & Rock ?

They came up with the corny gimmick and seeing that he's on Raw I doubt that Vince didn't go over what he wanted extensively in regards to the character. For that I find it hard to blame him. If they don't like his in ring work then they shouldn't have signed him back since they know what he does.

I remember when Orton was shitting in folks bags. Nasty fucker.

Yeah WWE needs to just call him Albert or A-Train and have him kick ass.

Something about shitting in bags wrestlers like. It seems every book I read when they talk about the ribs being pulled, shit is inevitably involved.

He is Vince's type, he's big as hell and has a unique look.
Ryback and Ryan are younger but Tensai is better than both of them.
I don't think he's a main event player like they tried to make him so quickly but he's a solid mid card player that could work in the secondary title divisions and help with the many younger guys they have on the roster.

:lol::lol:
In the past, probably but since Eddie Guerrero's death (and they went public), they've seemed pretty legit with this current testing and if HHH or Cena failed, we would know.
Speaking specifically on HHH, I wonder if he still has a talent deal or an admin deal. If it's the latter, he doesn't have to submit to the testing like the rest of the roster.

They came up with the corny gimmick and seeing that he's on Raw I doubt that Vince didn't go over what he wanted extensively in regards to the character. For that I find it hard to blame him. If they don't like his in ring work then they shouldn't have signed him back since they know what he does.

Instead of letting him work as he is, they tried to make him into something he's not and are  that he's not excelling.
Of course, it's his fault and not their's.

Bullet Points
1. For all of Cena's faults he knows how to connect with the fans.

2. Unlike Cena the Orton/Punk stories i've heard too many times from a number of people, and it really goes to show you that some wrestlers are only cool on tv.

3. The security team seemed to take their job too seriously.

4. Hogan is a prick but he really is a good guy:confused:

Two More WWE Wrestlers Tested Positive For Banned Substances
Posted by Joseph Lee on 06.02.2012

One hasn't been revealed...

-Super Luchas reports that Cody Rhodes tested positive for a banned substance on a drug test but was cleared after showing a valid prescription from a licensed and practicing physician.

He thought he would be facing suspension, which explains why he wrote "Time off" on his Twitter account. He then appeared at the SmackDown taping in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and all SmackDown shows since then.

-Another WWE performer had a positive drug test but hasn't been revealed yet. If they are unable to produce a valid prescription they will be suspended.
