Nobody has benefited from feuding with Orange Cassidy. Miro didn't the 1rst time. Pac didn't benefit when he lost The All Atlantic title to him. Santana and Ortiz didn't benefit from their feud with The Best Friends complete with Orange Cassidy emerging from car trunks during matches beyond a goofy 5 star match rating from Meltzer. Adam Cole certainly didn't benefited from his time having matches with Orange Cassidy. He went from huge deal to why didn't he stay with the WWE in the span of a month doing it.

Those feuds were designed to elevate Cassidy and legitimize him as a wrestler which they did. Those wrestlers didn't benefit from those feuds because they weren't suppose to benefit from them.

So Cassidy was to benefit again even though he's been legitimized already while Miro is delegitimized by losing to a comedy wrestler, again. And being legitimized via a match with a mimosa gimmick is sad in of itself.
So why would a returning Miro want to come back to lose to his detriment for the 2nd,3rd, 4th time? It's safe to say between the various goofy shit that he's been involved in between AEW and WWE that Miro has been a company guy so it's about time that he said no to something that wasn't going to help him at all.

Yes because merch sells are a strong indicator that a guy is over with the fan base and that's what you get behind as a booker. It's not rocket science. If you have two mid carders facing each other and one is insanely over and the other not so much you book the person who's over. That's business. This is the same reason why The Acclaimed are over right now. Are they the best tag team in AEW? Of course not but they're the most over tag team in AEW.
Merch sales don't equal to shit in ring. So Miro loses to a guy that sells t-shirts not a guy who's a main eventer. Miro losing to Omega would mean 10 times more than losing to Orange Cassidy but Cassidy sells more t-shirts.

Doesn't matter if he's a comedy figure he can wrestle. Stop associating comedy with a lack of skill.
Comedy doesn't equal lack of skill he equals lack of viability. Doesn't matter if he can wrestle if he's not to be taken seriously which he doesn't even take himself.

Correction he had a good match with Will Ospreay the best wrestler in the world right now and a main event star in New Japan.[/QUOUTE]
Main event star in NEW JAPAN, not America where most people don't know who he is. Main event star in Japan where he wrestles on a regular and consistent basis, not here where he was just seen maybe 5 times so most people don't know he is and how he ranks amongst all the wrestlers in the world.

Miro is a mid carder because that's what he deserves to be right now. In time he could rise to be a main eventer but he's got to be patient and stop bitching.

If people are still enjoying the gimmick then it won't matter if he's still doing it 3 years from now. You do the gimmick until it's not accepted anymore by the fan base THEN you change.
It's not being accepted by the TV viewers which is why ratings go down when he's on the show.

The joke guy barely wrestled when he first started in AEW. NOW the joke guy is having four star matches and currently holds a title. Yeah, you're right he hasn't evolved at all. :D
The fact that he holds a title says more about the importance of the title and the company than it speaks to how good he is. A title that we just created amongst the 10 or so other titles that he had a tournament for and was dropped by the 1rst guy to have it within a month in something like his defense. And the guy who won cares so much about it that he carries it in a bookbag and throws it around, as a face. And I forgot that Meltzer's ratings determine how valid and ready a guy is for a title.
And he barely wrestles still especially on Dynamite

Miro isn't Chris Jericho. Jericho is a day one guy with the company and former world champion. Of course he'll have more leverage than Miro who hasn't really done squat.
Jericho came in and was given the title. Miro came in and was given Kip Sabian. And Jericho has more leverage than any inividual in the company hence the wide range of bullshit they let him do on down to sing, song routines and Hangover ripoff skits.

Merch sales don't equal to shit in ring. So Miro loses to a guy that sells t-shirts not a guy who's a main eventer.

Miro a MID-CARDER is going to lose to another MID-CARDER. The mid -carder who sells more merch between mid-carders therefore making more money for the company gets the push. I don't get why this is hard for you to understand. This is business. Is merch sells the only indicator behind who gets pushed? No, but it plays a large role.

Miro losing to Omega would mean 10 times more than losing to Orange Cassidy

That would be true if Miro was a main eventer but HE'S NOT!

but Cassidy sells more t-shirts.

Yes, Cassidy makes more MONEY for the company than Miro does.

Comedy doesn't equal lack of skill he equals lack of viability. Doesn't matter if he can wrestle if he's not to be taken seriously which he doesn't even take himself.

It seems you lack a basic understanding of Cassidy's character. He's not serious until IT'S TIME FOR HIM TO BE SERIOUS. He uses his slacker demeanor to his advantage because opponents underestimate him. It's a unique gimmick that's been consistently over with the fan base since he first started in AEW. NOW Cassidy is being rewarded for that consistency.

So Cassidy was to benefit again even though he's been legitimized already while Miro is delegitimized by losing to a comedy wrestler, again. And being legitimized via a match with a mimosa gimmick is sad in of itself.

Winning one match or feud doesn't legitimize you it requires consistency. The Jericho feud was just the start of Cassidy's ascension. AGAIN, Miro is a mid-carder so him losing to another mid-carder in Cassidy wouldn't hurt him at all.

So why would a returning Miro want to come back to lose to his detriment for the 2nd,3rd, 4th time?

You come back and do the job to Cassidy then take advantage of that TV time to craft a storyline/angle around the loss. This keeps you on TV when everyone else on the bloated roster is fighting for TV time. The last thing I would be concerned about is losing to Cassidy. I want to develop a solid feud out of it and then get that win back when the time is right. This shows TK that you're a team player and you don't have your head so far up your ass about doing jobs. This isn't a sprint it's a marathon. If the goal is to be a world champion someday I would be talking to TK, Jericho ,Moxley and Omega about what it would take to get me there. If it meant jobbing to Cassidy, Hook or whomever NOW to be a World Champion LATER then so be it.

Translation: I can't tell you it's going to be Mercedes (Sasha) yet until after New years because her non-compete with WWE doesn't end until then and I also don't want to take the buzz away from her appearing at NJPW's Wrestle Kingdom 17.
