Work or no work, it's not a good look.

Work - You don't wanna do a work that actually disappoints the fans by wasting their time and money. He gets pretty good heat just being in character and he's already the biggest heel in the company.

No time and money is being wasted. You're there to see a pay-per-view show packed with 12 matches and everything else that Vegas has to offer. Nobody's coming to Vegas specifically to see MJF and if you are you're a damn fool.

Shoot - He makes himself look risky and if he somehow ends up in WWE and pulls a stunt like that, he could potentially Lio Rush himself.

Which is why I'm strongly leaning towards this being a work. It makes no logical sense for him to do a shoot here.

It doesn't make sense for it to be a work either. People pay specifically for the meet and greets and fan fest.

Despite his character, MJF has fans that actually want to meet him, get his autograph and take pictures.

No-showing not only pisses off those fans, but it also sets the precedent that he's not going to show up for fan events at all.

It's like Lauryn Hill. Sure the flyer says she's going to be there, but everybody knows she's coming late as fuck or not at all and having that reputation doesn't help anybody. If anything, it hurts ticket sales.

So what's the point of MJF having the same reputation? For cheap heat? He doesn't need it.

It's not the fans' fault if they believed he would be there because he was slated to be there. If the fans are dumb for that, it's because MJF made them look dumb. And I don't see the upside in making your diehard fans look dumb.

So whether it's a tasteless work or a poorly-timed shoot, MJF doesn't come out of this looking good.

MJF no showing that Fan event isn't a work... I do believe it was a shoot, but I don't think he'll miss tonight's show.

He's just playing hardball.

MJF sounds like he legitimately has issues with AEW and wants to get paid now, but does not want to reup just yet as AEW wants..

He's recognized his value and wants to get paid BUT also wants to test free agency...

Even if he went to WWE the will water him down and give him a cartoon gimmick, Vince will spend some change to get him just to be petty use him up and spit him out. :itsawrap:

Young Bucks vs. The Hardys: This is a match that went from decent to good the longer it went on. Still not up to the standards of what the Bucks usually deliver on ppvs but it turned out good considering the Hardys are not in their primes.

Anna Jay vs. Jade: Jade makes quick work of Anna then Athena finally makes her debut and confronts Jade. So Jade's next fued will be Athena. Good.
