This was a post TV comedy bit. They're always fooling around like that after the show goes off the air.

Like I don't subscribe to that cookout invite bullshit at all but as a Hitman fan and how 80% of the wrestlers I enjoyed as a kid turned out to be pieces of shit this feels good.

They only major thing left to fix is the women's division.

yeah

They have made strides in Jade and bringing in other established stars, but the women need to get more polished.

Marina Shafir is disappointing, because you would think her husband would be training her left and right which would make her better than what she is now, but it's like nothing changed since NXT....and she still doesn't have a personality in the ring.

If your a heel, heel it up, not make a face and sneer.

Her upcoming match with Jade has disaster written all over it.

I'm still not sure exactly what the ceiling is on Elias/Ezekiel storyline, but I seriously can't believe this character didn't get a lengthy title run.
Elias is talented as hell and knew just how to play a cheer. And the 'Walk with Elias' thing was over.

He couldn't wrestle worth a damn. His matches sucked. Even Cena couldn't carry him to a good match. You can have a good gimmick and everything but you got to be able to deliver in the ring. Bray Wyatt had the same problem. Would come up with good gimmicks but never had any memorable matches.

I told y'all, WWE does not want Brian Cage

Cage was asked what the reason was why WWE released him:

“Well, I was waiting on a raise. I was due for one. I was told I would be getting a call and going on the road. I missed the call from the office, but I am stoked and I call them back. They say, ‘Hey Brian. How are things going?’ I said, ‘Things are good’, and I’m trying to play it cool. They then say that they are coming to terms with my release,” Cage shared.

“I’m not trying to get smarta*s here, but I legitimately asked if they had the right number. It didn’t even cross my mind. They gave me the reason that I’m a little too indie and I need to get some more experience. So I have to go to the indies to get more experience and not be so indie? Hmm, ok, that makes sense.”

Cage was asked if WWE ever called him back after he went to TNA:

“They did call to say that they were going to do Tough Enough and bring me back for it, but then they took me off the list. They invited me down and wanted me on NXT, but then they changed their minds again. I asked what happened and they said, ‘You are average at best and we are no longer interested.’ They sent that in a text and I was so heated.”

“I kept it as professional as I could. There was a lot I wanted to say. I got back to them saying we might work together again in the future, but actually, that was when my desire to go back to them went away. My life professionally and personally excelled when I let go of that. They reached out to me several times and people would reach out to them about me. They talked to me a lot of times about tryouts and it never happened.”

“When it finally happened, I turned them down because I had just signed with AAA and Lucha Underground. They were shocked that I didn’t want it, and that felt kind of good. There was some small talk, but it never really went anywhere. I ultimately wanted to go to AEW because there were so many people I wanted to work with there. If I stayed at Impact, I feel like my ceiling would have been capped.”

Anybody remember Blitzkrieg? He was such a phenomenal athlete and wrestled some of the best cruiserweights of all time in his day. He was like a cross between Great Muta, Ultimo Dragon, Rey Mysterio, and Tiger Mask. He was so fluid in the ring. I remember watching Nitro with my mouth wide open whenever watching his matches.

Blitzkrieg was incredible. I remember they saying he had a photographic memory and it contributed to him picking up pro wrestling quickly somehow. Probably nonsense but I bought in to it. lol

With the rumors heating up of a AEW/NJPW Supershow in June here's my attempt at booking the card. This was very hard because it leaves off the Young Bucks, Adam Cole and other AEW talent. It also leaves off the women which I'm sure there would be an outrage if the women weren't included in this. I got a total of 12 matches which would be insane for a card of this caliber. I also booked this as if Kenny Omega was not able to make it back in time for the show.

Orange Cassidy vs Minoru Suzuki

Jay White vs Simoa Joe

Hiromu Takahashi vs Darby Allin

Tetsuya Naito vs MJF

Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus Vs. Guerrillas Of Destiny

Hangman Page vs Will Ospreay

Sammy Guevara vs KENTA

EVIL vs Jon Moxley

FTR vs Yoshi Hashi & Hirooki Goto

Chris Jericho vs Kota Ibushi

CM Punk vs Hiroshi Tanahashi

Bryan Danielson vs Kazuchika Okada

Adam Cole/Adam Page II (Texas Death Match): Hangman delivers another fantastic title defense. Absolutely killing it in the ring. Fucking loved the finish although controversial for religious nuts. Up next CM Punk as we build to their match in May at Double Or Nothing.

Agree with you on Elias. Elias had a nice elbow drop from the top rope but other than that he was basically a kick and punch guy.
Bray Wyatt wasn't bad in the ring at all. The problem with him came particularly with The Fiend gimmick. The way The Fiend was portrayed he couldn't have great or very good matches because The Fiend doesn't feel pain and didn't sell shit.
The Cena match at Mania should have been great but they chose to let Cena be Super Cena and destroy The Wyatt Family singlehandedly a month after they beat The Shield.
