Meltzer's POV (take that for whatever it's worth) is that WWE is helping TNA to keep AEW from getting another TV deal.

Dave Meltzer on WWEs recent counter programming of AEW: “they want to ensure that this is the last contract [TV Deal]
WWE is helping TNA get a TV deal.

AEW has their TV deal already. If they don't get another one, whose fault is that? AEW wanted competition, they got it now, can't cry about it when the number 1 company pays attention to you (that they craved) and is now looking to help number 3 become the new number 2.

AEW needs to worry about AEW.

Fuck Meltzer.....The only mutha fuckas that can assure that AEW doesn't get another TV deal is AEW.....Them and Dave need to focus on AEW and the moves they need to improve that damn product instead of being concerned about other companies.

"I thought he looked horrible. I thought he looked tired, withdrawn and it had me concerned. Whoever did his makeup should be fired. He just looked withdrawn and so old... his eyes tell a big story... to me that he looked tired and a little frustrated." Ross also pointed out specific details that caught his eye, "The hair thing was one, one issue that caught my eye, having his eyebrows colored, another thing that caught my eye." (via Jim Ross

The rationale for WWE retaining the right of first refusal on any offers for TNA is based on the expectation that potential buyers would approach the acquisition with a collaborative mindset toward WWE, rather than adopting an adversarial position. Securing a favorable media rights agreement could transform TNA from a financial liability into a fully profitable entity. However, any buyer that does not maintain a cooperative relationship with WWE will find it unlikely that they will succeed in acquiring the company.

Lol...yes you can buy them, but you can't "compete" against us...why doesn't WWE just go ahead and purchase it and get it over with. You could literally have 3 separate brands and interchange the talent between all 3 promotions.

Probably doesn't make business sense for TKO. They would have to eat a significant roster salary. If TNA was going out of business, then yes, WWE/TKO would buy it for their library alone.

TNA's working relationship with WWE benefits them both. TNA wrestlers get WWE TV exposure. WWE can make matches with TNA talent they don't have to employ.
