I don't know man....I never got it with Sammy until the Bloodline angle but I thought he made that angle not the other way around. To me WWE is still relying on him to main event and that's as a tag team.Sami Zayn is definitely "more than just a guy" but he does not have long-term main event status.
He got over being associated with the Bloodline. Ever since he stopped interacting with the Bloodline, he's cooled down.
Fans aren't as into him as they were back then. It was the right move not to put the championship on him.
Folks need to learn that being the flavor-of-the-month fan favorite does not equal to being world champion.
Mic skills matter in this country. Maybe they don't matter in Japan, but it matters here.
There's a reason all these Japanese girls you love don't get over here in the states.
Doesn't matter if it's Vince, HHH or "Booker of the Year" Tony Khan booking them it's always the same result. They hit a ceiling.
I've said it a million times, it takes more than just having good matches to really get over in this country.
You have to connect with the audience and get the audience invested enough in your character to want to see your matches.
I agree with your second statement......I think in america you gotta have mic skills. Might can overcome that shit in Japan but in America? That's a tough sell.
