I think they realized that it was damn near impossible to really hurt him with an edged weapon. Every time they got close he managed to wound one of them. At some point they decided that he was too fast and too strong to allow them to get a clean shot. At the end they are shook because sunlight was their last hope and it only managed to hurt him.

i take back anything i said about this show....... its poppin! took too damn long to get started..... didnt get good til 7-8 episodes in..... the gas station episode got me hooked..... im on episode 9 and trying to avoid reading this thread....

No way. The Strain is doing ok, but TWD is far superior in those respects. TWD"s major sin is dragging out conflicts and situations over multiple episodes when we all can see what's coming. The Strain is even worse at this already. The only saving grace is Abraham's flashbacks are actually interesting, so you don't notice that they are also serving as filler.
The Strain really needs to work on character development this season, because aside from the Exterminator, the Latino, Abraham and the Master's "personal assistant", damn near everyone on this show could be recast next week without explanation and not a single fuck would be given.
My biggest Gripe with the show. Might be the only real one actually.

Feel the exact opposite. I watch TWD live. If my dvr didnt record the strain, I would forget I came on.
Twd is all hype imo
