The official Sneakerhead Thread*************

I purchased a pre order from that seller and I never got my sneakers.
Hopefully Ebay can chase this guy down so I can get my money back.

:(:(:(:(:(

Did you use paypal and have you filed a claim yet?

How much did you buy them for? Dude either didn't get how many he thought he would or realized he could sell them for more.

Yup. He took more orders than he could fulfill. It may be tricky getting cash back because they have a 30day window to file claims usually. Most of those orders were placed over that time frame.

Good luck bro. Sorry about that situation. :smh:

I can't fuck with them ebay niggas with the stock photos and they talkin bout they taking pre orders... NAH I WANT TO SEE A REAL PIC with your name on them kicks and that feeback rating..

Everyone has good feedback until they fuck you over.

Plus it's harder to give someone negative feedback these days, because they can do the same to you or get it deleted by ebay. I had that shit happen.

do you think this seller is legit??

goat_23_flight

Yeah he legit but that nigga charging beyond rape fees... I don't really fuck with ebay like that unless I have no choice which hasn't come to that.

Its good for a back up if you MUST get them

Yeah I m trying to get the all black stealth foam.

Do u know a cheaper resource?

Message the seller and see if you can get them cheaper. I think ebay charges like 10% on the sale price to the seller and paypal is 4%. If you pay $350, the seller is paying $40 in fees.

See if you can arrange it where you go through Paypal instead of ebay. Some dudes will gladly do it if you include the 4% or come close.

After.. Been to both FC in NY years ago.. I thin the joint on Greene St (i think) was more dope

Greene is cool. They moved the one downtown to a spot on broadway.

That joint is probably the best sneaker spot on the east coast

What does private auction mean in the Ebay world??

U Wildin wit that statement of this thread just being about Jordan's and foams

I was smack dab in the era when Adidas specifically set shit off on the sneaker crazy letting Run DMc pump their kicks

I had the white and green Stan Smiths back then

Shit was an NY thing then when cats was rockin Ellese, Diadora and spot bilts aka saucony

You got an interesting screen name you talkin post up what u got...

You coming in here on some slick yap to cats who actually collect kicks and that are very knowledgeable

Me personally I'm just want the J's that I had growing up nothing more nothing less in the original color way nothing hype beast about that.

I got 1 pair of foams, not a foam head either.

Fact is Nike and reebok releasing retro shit I use to rock and I will cop 1 pair reebok pumps, black tops and all

1. I never questioned anyone's knowledge of sneakers, I'm simply making reference to how retro J's and foamposites dominate this thread when there is so much other heat out there. Saucony had a solid line up this year so did New Balance but I bet only a few people in this thread fux wit either brand because they are not popular amongst the masses.

2. Maybe I'm confused about the purpose of this thread. Is it to show off your collection? Is it a meeting ground to make trades or sells? Is it to provide a source of information about release dates or sneaker spots?

3. I'm also from that golden era you talking about. I grew up on the south side of Chicago (ask shaddyville or any chicago native about terror town) when and where it wasn't safe to rock J's or starter jackets unless you had some type of pull in the streets so I get the nostalgia behind retro J's (even though they are a shittier version of the originals)

Bottom line I'm just calling it how I see it, but if you are of age and you know something about this here sneaker game/culture I'm not really talking to you about that hypebeast shit.

Understable... I honestly see it as a thread that gives peeps updates as too when a certain sneaker coming out whether its for the collector or the hypebeast lol.

Shady like 15 he don't know nuffin bout terror town lol

As for the quality yes the originals are way better than the versions today. I'm racking up on the re releases now because 5 to 8 yrs from now they will re release them again and at that point I don't need to buy them because I already have them.

Had I known about the first retros released 10 or so years ago shit I would not buy the shits coming out now.

Why do you care? Nobody is asking you to be involved in it.

How many pages did you actually click through?

You could have added something instead of posting bullshit

they got to stop fucking around and drop these.
Air_Jordan_16.jpg

going for 13 years now. stop re-re-re-release shit every 4 year .

They dropped the Blk/Red 16s in the CDP pack with the Hare 7s back in 2008 fam.

Never liked those, I hate all those shroud kicks

The XVI's - XIX's

I like the XVI lows. I wish they would retro the lows. The columns with the visible air crumble and the glue becomes loose :(

Wasn't talking you I was responding to BeatDown, but you just reminded me why I prefer lurking over posting

It was easier for me to cop Nike stuff than any NB or Adidas shit I wanted.

MT580s West NYC - no dice
Undftd x Colette 1500s, both colors - no chance
Solebox Consortium Adidas - failed
Nice Kicks "The Duel" Sk8 Hi Vans - failed like shit

And like you said, Saucony and Puma also had solid showings, but here in NYC shit like that goes faster because the quantities are smaller and there are fewer places to get them.

I got damn near everything that was a major release from Nike via nike.com, finishline.com or a friend looking out, all for retail.

2. All 3. I've built some very dope connects using Instagram. I sold a pair of copper foams to someone on the board some years ago. Had 8 pairs LOL.

Naussa is that what it's called? The best sneaker shop I've ever been to was this joint in LA around the corner from the Staple Center

I say add input, show us the shoes you're interested in that others might not know are being released. That's one of the reasons this thread is here, Jordan's and Foams are just very popular now.

Personally a couple of my favorites are Nike Trainer III's and Air Max 1's. Also like Adidas EQT's and Forums. I don't recall those being posted but none the less dope shoes.

So post some kicks and we'll all be receptive.

Nah, Broadway btwn 11th & 12th. Nassau was closed and consolidated in the new shop, Greene is still open for used kicks and clothing.
