Is Iris the Laurel of this show?

Bingo.

She's way out in front, all alone.... with a HUGE lead... racing to that "I 'm just as annoying as Laurel" finish line... while everyone else on the cast is running a COMPLETELY different race, in the opposite direction.

The big problem is... HER ATTITUDE (in general).

Iris makes HERSELF the focus of every situation.
It's always about HER feelings. And HER emotions. (Which everyone else needs to put ahead of their OWN, ... yet at the same time... she never needs to put anybody else's feelings & emotions ahead of hers. )

It's a 'one-way' street with Iris.
You never get the feeling that she is even capable of 'putting someone else first'.

Because after she throws (yet another) temper tantrum.... she ALWAYS needs a 'deep lecture' in order for her to even 'consider' anyone else's point of view.

Multiple people have to 'explain it to her'.... because she's too 'self-centered' to figure shit out for herself.

On a show chock full of Superheros, Cops and Teamwork... she's the ONLY character on the entire show who does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for anyone else...... without needing to be prompted, or argued with, or lectured to, or 'guilt-tripped' into doing whatever it is she actually does.

So it makes it hard for guys to figure out exactly what Barry actually 'sees' in this chic (aside from her looks ) who has a really hard time.. just showing him some gratitude.

She doesn't bring much to the table. Except a spoiled / shitty attitude whenever she has to actually 'use her brain' and piece together a few clues, like everyone else is CONSTANTLY doing every episode to figure-out how to defeat & apprehend these super-criminals.

At the end of the day....

Everyone makes a 'sacrifice' on the show, just for HER ass.

But what exactly does Iris 'sacrifice' for anybody else???

Everything that comes out of her mouth is: "about Me... about My feelings.... What YOU did to ME... How you neglected ME... yada, yada, yada... me, Me, ME"

That shit is highly annoying when the main folks she is talking to.... who she constantly says are 'neglecting her' somehow.... because they are much too busy running around trying to save the ENTIRE FUCKING CITY.

In many ways she got mad at Eddie for something similar, HE had a secret and she felt entitled to it. Why? Because apparently she's Iris and thats the way things are supposed to go.

The show doesn't need Wells they can easily find some other bad guy who is causing a ruckus next season, I wouldn't be surprised if kid flash showed up next season because Barry changes the past and fucked up the future.

So, all the people on that plane died, and all the people that WILL die. All because Barry couldnt let those 4 killers die in that reactor.

Yeah, i thought this episode would end on a loss with Barry getting his butt kicked again by Wells, but forgot there's a cross over. Great fight but...well, Reverse Flash shouldnt' been able to hold his own with Oliver for so long with no powers but, its not a big deal.

Was another good episode and sadly one more left.

Think about it....

Even if Cisco & Caitlin DID figure out how to stop Wells by using some nanotechnology....... they STILL had less than 24 hours to create said nanotech.

So ummm yeah.... WHO ELSE could get their hands on THAT MUCH (reliable) nanotechnology which has been 'thoroughly tested' and ACTUALLY WORKS…. on such ‘short notice’?

This Iris chic gets more & more annoying every single week, imo.

But I give Eddie PROPS for ‘cutting her ass loose’…. like a grown-ass man with some DIGNITY without ‘getting played’ for a schmuck who spent all his cash on a diamond ring for a broad who just cannot bring herself to admit she doesn't truly love him (which she eventually WOULD HAVE done. It was just a matter of time )

At least now he can get his gwap back for that gemstone, without any fuss from her.
