Theres this radio station in philly 107.9. Its at the end of the fm dial. It plays all the classic hip hop. When I got in the car they were playing dmx. I hopped they were playing ruff ryders anthem. Got back into the car they did money cash hoes, get at me dog, and a jay z track. I love this station.
Niggas didn't think Illmatic was a classic though until years after that shit came out. 
Shit didn't go platinum until like a few years ago. Dudes tried to hate on that shit too. Its them old heads that don't want shit to change. People hated on Jeezy when Thug Motivation 101 came out. That cat goes to NY right now and perform ANY song from that album and they'll know all the words. But I remember when cats was saying he was trash.

I remember people claiming he was like 16 or 17 as well. I Was shocked to see he was 19 when it dropped because they use to always call him a child prodigy or some shit like that.

Not true, when that shit dropped it's all you heard in whips around jersey and NY. I'd be in Queens visiting fam and damn near all cars driving by had that shit on blast. No matter which borough we'd go to. Shit had the east going crazy.

Whats odd was I was listening to power 99 friday night, and they were playing 3 or 4 quilly tracks. Im driving home, looking at my radio and I deleted the preset. I already have the two old people stations, but I realized that stuff wasnt for me.

Lil Wayne sounds like he forgot to pass puberty or has a frog in his throat, and raps over simple ass beats that some 4th grader thought up. When I grew up (graduated in 95) we rapped over old R&B beats, P Funk, and shit like that. I thought Master P and all of his crew were trash, and lil Wayne & juvenile.
