THE EXPANSE: The Show You’ve Been Wanting Since Battlestar Galactica

MMMAAAANNNNN....

I don't want to say anything yet.
Because most of you still haven't seen it.
But Alex...:smh::smh::smh::angry::angry::angry:

And I felt the show fast-forwarded through some major plot points.
Especially regarding The Proto-Molecule and The Ring.
It was like another finale of "Just In Case We Don't Have Another Season" Episodes.

Sometimes "THE EXPANSE" is like watching "BABYLON 5".
But with more attractive characters.
And a tighter focus.
But the space battles come off like that show.

Naomi Nagata survival skills are second to none.

Nadine Nicole aka Clarissa Mao I remember her thought she was just crazy, but when did she become Weapon X, she made quick work of those soldiers.

So some of the crazy shit this season.

The woman playing Drummer was 8 months pregnant during her scenes. She said she was feeling weird cause in one scene she had to act drunk.

I was about to ask "ALEX - WHAT THE F*CK?!?"

Then I went back in the post and saw......

Damn for real? Why can't dudes keep it cordial on the job :smh: ?

Just finished watching the whole series.

Pretty good for a SCi-Fi show kept me interested. Gives me GOT vibes with Holden acting like a poor man's Jon Snow and the protomolecule similar to the Night walkers or whatever they were called.

Season 6 should be pretty good. Anxious to see where it goes with the Alien technology

Season 1 ep 4 :: Chrisjen Avasarala and her grandson are on the roof talking about her fear of big rocks hitting the earth
Season 1 ep 6 :: Uncle Mateo is angry and listening to a radio speech ( 21:18 ) about throwing rocks at the earth

Its funny you mention B5. I just started re-watching that series on HBOMAX. If you replaced the Alien races on B5 with Belters and Martians you definitely have some similarities on the political based themes. B5 was somewhat novel for a TV show in that it didn't constantly use the RESET button switch after each episode like a lot of Star Trek series. They had extended character arcs and plots over multiple episodes just like The Exchange does. But it also did have a lot of crappy filler episodes to fill up a season of broadcast TV schedule.

One thing about B5 makes it hard to re-watch now is how many of the so called "mysteries" or "crimes" could have been simply solved with any kind of basic video surveillance system on the station.

The Expanse definitely benefits with a tighter focus and better writing.

She had some kind of Bio Mod that when she enabled it, gave her Berserker type skills. When they showed her activate it in Season 4 it was basically enough to take out 1 or 2 people who she caught off guard. But her taking out a whole squad of armed soldiers seems quite a stretch

Yea I thought was a bit much. And the scene where she took out that dude with a guns in the woods was cringe as hell.

I understand it but its like some Voltron shit with the sword. No matter how fucked up the situation is all she need to do is chew on some shit and she turn to Captain Marvel lol

Guessing the writers needed someone who would be able physically fight the Protomolecule for the series finale.

Alcon-produced The Expanse, based on James S.A. Corey’s best-selling novels is set in the future where humanity has colonized the solar system and the people of Earth, Mars and the Asteroid Belt have long been in opposition with one another. When the crew of the Rocinante uncovers an ancient alien technology, a vast conspiracy begins to emerge — one that will bring the solar system to the brink of war. The Expanse is a high-action, sci-fi adventure that explores the depth of humanity against the far-spanning reaches of the known universe.

Robertson portrays Rosenfeld Guoliang, a cynic, and a fierce believer in Belter independence who is a key member of insurgent leader Marco Inaros’ inner circle.

The Hugo Award-winning series was developed and scripted by the Oscar-nominated Children of Men writing duo Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby, who executive produce the series alongside Shankar, Kosove, Johnson, Laura Lancaster, Sharon Hall, Sean Daniel, Jason Brown and Dan Nowak. The Expanse is produced by Alcon Television Group.

Robertson is currently in post-production on her Roku/Lionsgate contemporary series update of George Huang’s 1994 film, Swimming with Sharks. In addition to appearing in the remake, Robertson wrote and produced the series which stars Diane Kruger and Kiernan Shipka. Under a first-look development deal with UCP, Robertson recently sold Apres Ski for CBC. As an actor, Robertson most recently was seen in a lead role on Northern Rescue for Netflix and in a starring role on TNT’s Murder in the First. She’s repped by Untitled Entertainment, CAA, attorney Jamie Feldman and NCA Talent and Play Management in her native Canada.

1000

The Rocinante vs The Pella. Holden proved he is not to be played with, he disarmed the torpedo just before it hit The Pella, made Marco so mad he start blaming his son for their loss.

Probably because Marco knew they are alive because his son was on the Pella.
