Anyone with the Infinity Gauntlet (if they can be used together by one person) could fuck it up. Especially Thanos. Dude is trickier then Mephisto. He kicked everybody's ass (Eternity, The Celestials, Chaos, Order)

I don't think of any mutant can be stronger then the Phoenix because it's an immortal entity. That alone puts the Phoenix in a different league.

Now if it would enter a host things change. :cool: I remember Mastermind controlling the Phoenix (host Jean Grey) in the Dark Phoenix saga. Eventually Mastermind fucked up and lost control.
However, if Mastermind could do it then there are lost of other cats who can do it.

I have to disagree with you and your boy because the 'Living Tribunal' is the Truth. He sat down Adam Warlock, Eternity, the Celestials and a bunch of other cosmic cats in issue #1 of 'Warlock and the Infinity Watch' Nobody in the Marvel Universe comes close to that cat with the exception of the power he represents.

wowww ... i'm late to this thread, but nobody in the marvel universe (other then the living tribunal and anyone of extreme intelligence with the infinity guantlet) is a match for galactus in battle. he's too smart and too powerful(despite never being at full strength).and nova with the full nova force was no match for the new and improved surfer.(nova 14)

This is a wet dream gone wild! If Phoenix or Dark Phoenix was truly that powerful the universe would have responded (Marvel That Is)! The so-called comic vet has forgotten about Korvac! The Living Tribunal has already been mentioned. Eternity, Watchers, Hunger, Celestials, and Galactus (when the hunger isn't on him), of course the Beyonder and did you and the comic vet remember that the Phoenix had trouble taking over Jean Grey!!!! Holla back!

Actually, its The One-Above-All, not to be confused with the One Above All - they are two separate entities. The One Above All is the leader of the Celestials. The One-Above-All is basically God over the Marvel Universe. Thanos with the Heart Of The Universe could not destroy The Living Tribunal. The Living Tribunal was created by The One-Above-All to watch over all of the Universes and realities. It was not destroyed when Thanos had the Heart Of The Universe, it was simply not able to stop him. Even with the HoftU, Thanos couldn't destroy the Tribunal. He just basically put it out of a job. With all multiverses and realities destroyed, what would it have to watch over?
The One-Above-All appeared in Sensational Spider-man #40 as a homeless man when Peter's Aunt May was dying. Peter realized who he was in the issue and asked him a couple of questions about "everything" and he gives him a variation of the responsibility talk. He also appears AS STAN LEE when the Thing died. The FF (-Thing) went up to (basically Heaven) to ask him to bring back Ben and he appeared to them as Stan Lee. The entity is not Stan Lee himself. That moment was supposed to me metaphorical - for both the readers and the comic characters themselves. The Phoenix is an entity like the Celestials. The entity itself is immortal but it has a weakness - it needs a host. If they had battled completely ruthlessly, Galactus could have possibly won against the Phoenix by simply following it around and destroying every potential host it could come across. It would be an endless game of chase and destroy with neither one of them winning. Without the Heart Of The Universe or the Infinity Gems, Celestial Entities could just battle endlessly. Since they are immortal, they cannot be destroyed. The only reason Thanos was destroyed was out of self-sacrifice to repair the flaw in The Multiverse/Realities that he discovered. His story was the only one of the Marvel: The End series stories that actually happened in the Marvel Universe. The rest were just possibilities. People keep comparing Phoenix with mutants and humanoids but in truth, Phoenix is a celestial immortal being that uses a host. (Jean, her clone, etc.) Phoenix is more along the lines of Galactus, Infinity, Eternity, Oblivion, Death and Abraxas. Its almost pointless to mix Phoenix with creatures of the Universe when the entity itself can't be destroyed but the others can.
