I bet next season Paige will use her newfound skills on some girl or boy who picks on her at school, and she gets expelled as a result..

I actually wouldn't be surprised if the show does another time jump.. Have Paige in college and Henry in that school and then have Stan deeply involved with old girl.

My other fear is that they are going to show Elizabeth going at it alone to protect Phillip and end up screwing up on a mission. It's going to kill me to see that.

Honestly I think this is the first show that's based around the "bad guys" where I hope the the show just ends without anything really resolved.. where it's just ends like it's just another day and nobody ends up dead or betrayed. It's weird but I've grown to love these characters so much... that I just don't won't to see everything go to the shitter.

But with this show... you have no clue what's going to happen.

I still think that damn necklace that Stan spotted on Martha a couple seasons ago is going to come back in the end.

Certainly for a show that has delivered 5 seasons and will finish at 6, I can't think of much else that comes close to it for consistently fine writing and performances.

Did Paige just take the Jennings cover car..... I've got to go back and check but that looked like the cover car.

Side note...

I completely forgot about the Jim Cover.... man I'd hate to be a casual viewer of this show. You would have no idea on some of these scenes.

That Jim cover came back out of nowhere. You cannot be a casual viewer of the show.

Every time they think they're out something drags them back in and deeper.
Henry's going to boarding school now.
Twan has nerve to grandstand. He's lucky to be alive talking about reflecting in my report. I would've slapped him off of GP.
Underrated moment- Martha gonna have a baby.
Husband is straight as an arrow.

Phil and Stan living the exact same life. Ready to bounce and cupcake it up but their women are like nah you can't do that it's too important stay in.

Paige got in the cover car lol. She also was scared af walking in the lot that training don't really translate to the streets yet.

Poor Henry

I feel so bad for Henry. Dude is just living life on the straight and narrow and is about to have his shit uprooted

I thought Paige went into that alley at first to find trouble

Twan is a true soldier. I think Elizabeth is surprised there can be someone out there more ruthless and no nonsense than she is, and at such a young age

Stan's chick is a undercover agent that's the only reason you tell someone to stay in the job that they say they hate is if you want information from them

I can't wait for Stan's new relationship to really add some drama to the story. They don't have this chick around him for nothing.

Quick question, who got the promotion to the Russia post? I couldn't make out the name or at least didn't recognize it. It appears Philip was disappointed, as if he was expecting the position to go to him.

Congrats to Keri..

Actress Keri Russell, best known for her role as a ruthless KGB operative in the long-running series "The Americans," was honoured on Tuesday with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The 41-year-old actress told AFP she was awestruck to receive the 2,613th star on the famous sidewalk alongside other celebrities such as Judy Garland or Marlon Brando.

"It's such an incredible, iconic moment," she said.

A native of California, Russell first garnered attention for her title role in the hit television series "Felicity," for which she won a Golden Globe Award in 1999.

She was again nominated last year -- but did not win -- for her role in FX's critically-acclaimed "The Americans," which is set in the 1980s and follows a husband and wife team of undercover Soviet operatives in the United States.

The spy thriller, which wrapped its fifth season on Tuesday, has drawn parallels with the current frosty relations between the US and Russia, especially following allegations that Moscow tampered with last year's presidential elections won by Donald Trump.

"It is very much in our world right now," Russell acknowledged. "Luckily our show is a period piece set in the 80s and the Cold War... the news now will not change the way the 80s ended.

"But it is interesting and fun it's all back in the news again," she added. "It's so relatable."

"Felicity" creator J.J. Abrams lauded Russell's talent during the ceremony, describing her as someone who shied away from the limelight and one of the "sweetest" people he knows.

"What she does so beautifully is become other people. And she does it in a way that most actors would only dream of being able to do," Abrams said.

Russell's co-star on "The Americans" and real-life love, Matthew Rhys, also attended the ceremony.

the young girl that Philip is working her father is going to be the head of the Soviet division that is why they can't go back to Russia they're too close to something big.

Man gawd damn... Something tells me that I’m going to spend every Fucking episode dreading the day that Stan finds out... ughh i can feel the ulcer already starting.

I bet he will in either the third or fourth episode..or like the third to last one

There is a part of me that hopes that he doesn’t ever find out and the series end with them at a dinner table...

Man that reveal is going to be Fucking brutal... probably one of the most devastating reveals ever seen on TV. I’m just not ready for it.

Stan will be the New Hank, he will go into Elizabeth and Philip's bathroom and there will be a book signed by Ghorbachev saying "To Philip and Elizabeth (wink wink) You are my favorite Americans ( wink wink x infinity) . I am glad we never met and mean NEVER... Счастли́во, Your Bud, Mikhal."

Or what if he does but it happens off-screen..then when everyone's at the dinner table in the final scene of the finale all talking and laughing,Stan says"Oh i had an interesting phone conversation earlier today before i came over..and there's something i need to ask..

(suddenly his face turns serious)

"HOW LONG have the two of you been Russian spies??"

Final shot is of Phillip and Elizabeth looking like

Man.... gawd damn I can see the show doing this.

last season was a little disappointing so my excitement isn't at 100 yet...I am sure it will get there the closer we get to the premiere

doesn't change the fact nothing really happened.

nothing really happened with Phil's son

still don't know if the neighbor dating a spy

homie went back homie and know if kgb knows he snitched

kimmy was a complete non factor miraculously her dad gets promoted and they stay

it was a lot of table setting with no payoffs and by far the weakest season to date

Typically most of the questions aren't answered within the same season.. ....... Like how Martha was taken away in the Middle of Season 4 and we didn't find out what happened to her until 4 episodes into Season 5.

This episode is everything.... .... I love every bit of this.

Episode was a fucking 10.... The writing, the music, and OMG the Acting..

Keri Russell put on the Clinic this episode... Like you could feel the weight in every step she took.... She is exactly where Phillip was starting in Season 4 with the Marta Situation. Elizabeth just doesn't want to admit it because she is the good soldier.

Paige is cute (still looks like a kid). Guess I am glad that she has happy joining the family business. Homie took the ultimate L cause he was trying to strong arm a date

looks like this season might setup spy vs spy

anyone that has been married knows what Phil is going through. fundamentally this show has always been about Phil & Elizabeth's complicated marriage. Elizabeth told Phil to get out but now she is resentful and passive agressive (or downright aggressive) cause he is doing what she asked for and living life

and damn who would've thought that when Oleg got introduced he would be such a pivotal/honorable character. he went from an entitled playboy looking to get have fun in the US to the ultimate patriot who betrayed his country because he knew what was best for it and coming outta retirement to try to stop the radical wing of the KGB

welcome back and welcome back to true form Americans

FAM I couldn’t have said any of this any better this we Perfectly said.... especially Oleg. His transformation has been absolutely amazing. And a testament to how great this show is...

And was I the only one taken back Oleg speaking English.. it’s been so long since his sit down conversations with Stan that I had completely forgotten that my man speaks English. That’s how cool the Americans is.. it actually feels like we have lived a decade with these characters.

Was actually nice to see Phillip looking like he was living a normal life(the travel agency, going line dancing,etc)..seemed good until that meeting in the park

also noticed the callbacks to the series premiere i.e Phillip's cowboy boots, dude getting merked after talking to Paige

it's funny how the roles are reversed
Phil is the nagging emotional wife
Elizabeth is the focused no nonsense husband

more like Elizabeth is the over extended /loaded, hyper working spouse
She's lost her life balance... notice how many times her lack of sleep is brought during the ep

She is on a fast track to burning out...

Exactly.... she is exactly where Phillip was with the Kimmy assignment. That and Martha are what broke him. Elizabeth just doesn’t see it but Phillip does.... it’s going to be interesting to see if Phillip can get her to see it.

My worry is that I now see a path where Phillip is going to end up dying when the show ends.
