Spider-Man: Homecoming -(discussion thread)

This spiderman Homecoming bullshit was gassed. Shit was like wasn't a Kiddie Pixar movie. Never felt like spiderman was in danger. Fighting scenes were so light. I understand he was in high school and they went with a younger version of spiderman but movie wasn't that good it was just ok. Spiderman 1 and 2 were the best ones all the rest was below average

Saw it three times in the theater and twice at home. I see every movie I like multiple times though. I saw Civil War 5 times in the theater. To each his/her own on their movie preferences, but from what I've seen in various threads; a lot of y'all tend to be marvel fanboys/fangirls that will hate on any and every thing DC. Not saying this is you, but from your comments it seems clear at least, that you didn't pay much attention to the film. WW was in no way, a terrible or mediocre movie.

I agree... I had WW at a strong 8.5 or 9/10 as far as comic movies go.

Saw Spiderman today, honestly it was a good movie. I'm not going to say it wasn't. Im just SO TIRED OF THE FORMAT. Shit is annoying now. Marvel does the same shit every time.

Dont grab the infinity stone... fuck it
Dont shrink between the molecules.... fuck it
Don't mess with time..... fuck it.
Don't get involved with major criminals.... fuck it

I hope someone is understanding my point. Also, I don't think they do enough in these movies to further the direction of the Marvel universe. I get that it's hard to do in a Spider Man movie but this is more across various movies.
I feel like they spend more time putting easter eggs in the movie as opposed to building plot to feed future projects in the scope of the Marvel universe.

Was shocked to hear them talk about Thor's megingjörð belt. That was shocking.

Movie gets a stron 7.5 out of 10 for me.

That WW movie was a 7 at best but it's because it was the first female superhero movie and first DC movie in a while that was decent....i don't know Z personally nor never met her; but i have a friend whom her dad talks to often; he's trying to fuck:giggle:ill see if she can work her magic the next time she is with them....

handle that Uncle Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Having seen Spider-man Homecoming three times in the theater and once at home, I've upgraded it from an 8 to a 9. Huge reviewability factor, and loses nothing on a re-watch. It's a well made movie that is a lot of fun. I've recently rewatched all the Spider-man films, and Homecoming leaves them all in the dust. Even the much heralded Spider-Man 2.

However, this still doesn't change the fact that WW is a damn good movie. This is a great year overall (maybe the strongest yet), for Comic Book films.

Also, Marvel has the formula for success down pat, but counter to pop culture groupthink, all DCEU movies don't suck. Suicide Squad was terrible, but Man of Steel, BVS Ultimate Edition, and WW were all good movies; with WW being the best of the bunch.

Naw bro, Man of steel was average at best; BVS was terrible and WW was solid; they gave WW a pass because it was the first woman superhero movie and DC had been getting killed; But to your point of Spidey, it was a good movie and Marvel stay winning!!

BvS sucked...."oh your mom's name is Martha too? Let's be pals!"

WW was good, not great. That ending and "all you need is love" bullshit :hmm:

Suicide Squad was one of the worst movies I've seen in a while. Amanda Waller was the coldest villain in that movie and she's a GOOD GUY

Why are DC animated movies better than the theatrical movies?

damn this why I can’t watch movies in the theaters...I’m only 10 minutes in and I’ve rewinded like 4-5 parts already...disney is fucking running movies right now :itsawrap:

yooooooo marvel incorporated that scene from ‘strapped’ these niggas ain’t playing
