Yea I use two different wallpapers. I use my regular/colorful wallpaper for my lock screen & my black wallpaper for my home screen. The way I figure is, your only at your lock screen for a second or two at a time, so a colorful wallpaper is okay there. My home screen is completely black with a picture of the moon in the middle.

Making phone calls,texting, email, ease of use, Ergonomic design. Long battery life, playing music in my car.

I don't watch movies on it and I don't play games.
 
must be something in the water cause my old lady just switched from being a serious apple sheep. Me and the lady at Sprint talked her into getting the s3 instead of the i5 next week. she loves it.

I This phone has the best battery life ever for me charged it every day n half i watch movies too n from work which sucks the most of the battery
 
Best Buy showed me a lot of love...I bought the S2 in February and got into the buyback program for $30...went 2 weeks ago and they gave me $350 for the same phone I paid $214 for...copped the S3

battery life for me was horrible...man I was at work that monday and tuesday and my phone died in 3hrs without me even touching it...it was just sitting in the truck :smh: I put that Easy Battery Saver app and MAN THAT SHIT IS A LIFESAVER!!!!!!

Immediate difference and now my shit can go some hours until I charge it...overall love the phone and shit looks great in HD...3G works GREAT my 4G hardly ever works which is crazy...intenal storage plus my 8gb SD card...sound ain't loud enough for me tho.. the OG Evo was loud and had great sound

Whats the battery life like if your surfing on the Net? Talking on the phone? For example on my HTC EVO, fully charge if I surf on the Net I have about 1-2 hrs before the battery is gone..

If youre using stock touchwiz...turn off the smart actions and use automatic brightness. Those smart settings automatically drain the battery. And my SGS3 came with developers options or whatever, if yours did too go to it and scroll to the button and change the processes allowed to run to like 3 or 4. The phone will have mad things going on simultaneously. And if you aint using LTE..cut that shit off in mobile settings. :lol: Use just CDMA until you need it.

With LTE murdering your battery they should keep wifi on because it automatically turns off the other stuff. When I leave wifi on all day my battery lasts like an extended battery. And airplane mode is cool if youre somewhere you wont be using the phone at all because it shuts down all radio function. No cell anything.

Battery life has gotten better which is great because it was good b4 but after putting wildchilds jelly bean rom on it its really good money jellybean adds a lot of subtle changes which make the phone experience better .. I rooted my phone 3 days after buying it but if your not familiar with the process dont because you can brick!!

i guess thats true. i have my phone set to turn wifi on as soon as i get in my crib. I havent charged it since Friday night.

Coco, if you REALLY trying to get into your phone like you did with your nook..root it slap a custom rom on it like Synergy and keep it moving. Its simple as hell to do. Theres a .bat file you drop in a folder on your desktop then click it, plug your phone in and bam. Download EZ-Recovery from the market then EZ-unlock....And rock it.

Initially I was having issues with my battery as well. I did some simply searches and found out what the problem was. There was some kind of app running in the background that was literally draining battery life. All I did to fix the issue was to a couple restarts on the phone and it stopped running. It was a simple fix for me and since then my battery life has been great with 4G LTE and WIFI on at all times.

One way to check and see if you have that problem is to go into settings, and then battery. If your Android OS and Android System are running higher than say 10% each, that is more than likely your problem.

Google Maps
etc etc etc.

I'm not a Samsung fan at all but the iPhone 5 can't compare specs to spec with that beast.
