The fucking sky must be falling and aliens running around this bitch because once again I agree with everything you say.:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

really good analysis...

Final verdict
If we had to recommend just one handset of the three based on these specs right now,
we would (narrowly) choose the iPhone 5.
Here's why: Out of these three phones, the iPhone 5 isn't the most innovative, but it is a reliable, intuitive package that earns top points for software and hardware reliability. Solid, strong design, LTE speed, and a proven camera that just gets better and better meets iTunes and app store robustness and the new iOS with turn-by-turn voice navigation.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 has a ton of really neat, innovative new features, but it also has far more trip-ups, which make for a less smooth experience overall. We still love the GS3, but the rich, highly customizable Android 4.0 interface is too much for some users, and many of Samsung's innovations, especially in content-sharing, are more complicated to use and not very universal.

We're also very excited to review the Lumia 920, which offers NFC, wireless charging, and promises of a gorgeous display. However, we're less enamored of Nokia maps, getting multimedia still isn't as robust as iOS or Android, and there's a question hanging over the camera, a major selling point for us. We'd also like to see how well wireless charging works; a stumble here would be a major stumble indeed.

iPhone 5 vs. Galaxy S3 vs. Lumia 920: By the number

 The iphone 5 will perform half the features smoother. It's funny how they never seem to get the intuitive insult.

That's the motherfucking kicker right there. LTE sucks battery life up like no other. It and the screen brightness are the two primary reasons battery life goes down so fast on Android phones. Apple people probably aren't used to this because they've never had LTE before. I can almost guarantee you that IP5 users will be complaining about the battery life once they experience LTE.

Why can't people understand this point???
LTE & screen brightness are the two things that suck battery life the most!!!
I bet most of the guys that get exceptional battery life & lasts all day long, are on Sprint. They are probably using 3G only on Sprints network.

Oh and..... welcome to the Galaxy S3 club CocoBeauty

It will still use more power if it's constantly looking for LTE. This is why you're told to disable it if you are in a area where there isn't LTE, or the signal is low.

Is an app killer necessary to preserve battery life? If so what's recommended?

I dont use an app killer. What is important though is that those first few charges, I let the battery go until the point it pretty much cut off and then recharged it to 100% to train it correctly.

You did a DUMB MOVE
That ANDRoiD is played out

WACK SHIT for a WACK CHICK

Your mom birthed a wack bitch so we're even

But if anyone is contemplating it, if you still want that stale and boring user experience...go with the iPhone

Never understood that as being a downside of Android...what person doesn't like customization of the products they own. Nobody wants something that looks exactly like what everybody else has.

What's "stale and boring" if 95% of people are doing the same thing on either phone. As I've said before, most people are using the phone to TALK (the shocker!), text, browse the internet, and play music and games. You have the same experience regardless of the phone you use, as long as it is a high-end smartphone.

It's more of a generational thing. When you are building a identity then making sure you are unique is big importance. Once you are older and established, with obligations, etc then people tend to want something that works. The idea of changing icons, and fonts and so forth may still look interesting but you got better things to do than spend several hours setting up all that. The older you get, the more time is precious.

I'm on Verizon and in Maryland...4G is completely covered. I use automatic brightness and my battery lasts all day. Without any problem.

Look here Coco, I've bookmarked this thread, and expect an update on your feelings on the S3 vs the iphone experience after a week.

Pleasantries :D

:lol: For you I will do that kind sir. 24 hours into this, I'm loving it.

Ok. I am trying to decide between both phones too. The only thing I like about the s3 is the size of the display. The Iphone wins in every other aspects for my purpose.

What is your purpose?

I bet these cats that switched over have everything syncing like mail, stocks, weather, news. All that shit syncing drains your battery.

This is what I do and my shit last damn near all day.

LTE or WiFi are not battery killers. Neither is screen brightness, unless you got it on ridiculous. What kills the battery is the SEARCHING for those features. Turn off the features unless you know you can connect to them with a strong signal. Also, lithium and nicad batteries need to be 'conditioned'. Drain them fully 2 or 3 times and them you're fine. Apple products are toys; they are for people who just want a vanilla experience, no surprises, no options, just the same old shit. Android is for people who want to customize their experience and are not afraid of change. Windows is the best mobile OS going. We'll see what happens when the phone and tablet with W8 drops. Hopefully they realized their mistake and support open sourcing. And finally, iTunes sucks so much it makes me sick. Once you've run your files through it forget any other manager. iTunes writes proprietary info to the files that can't be removed. You have to erase your library and reload everything from a different source once you've purged your machine of the apple worm.

When I first got my S3 I used the available battery until it ran all the way down. I got it at around 1pm and it finally died at around midninght. That was with the usual heavy use after first getting a new phone. I then put it on the charger so that it would charge completely over night. My phone lasts all day without a charge no matter what I'm doing. GPS is always on, bluetooth is off and wifi is on automatic. I keep screen brightness at about 90%.

This is how you condition a new battery. Like he said, first full charge, let it drain until it dies, then charge it full. Repeat the same thing a few times.

It's all about what's you have sync in the background. I went into my accounts and found that 10 of my apps were sync, i only need just 3 of my email account to sync with the phone. And you should set apps not to run when stop using them, that setting is in the Developer options "De not keep activites". Or you can use the back key, it will close most applications, while the home key place the app in stand-by mode.

We need to make a thread about "tips to save battery life" or add more tips in this thread. A few things that I have noticed.

1)Screen brightness can drain the battery fast.
Turn it down half way or use auto brightness.

2)LTE or more specifically SEARCHING for LTE signal can drain the battery fast.
If you have a weak LTE signal, it will drain the battery faster.

3)Apps/Email constantly syncing every 5-10 minutes.

4)If S-voice is running i the background constantly. Make sure the setting is off that S-voice is set to NOT listen to voice commands all the time.

5)Haptic feedback will drain the battery too.
I always urn that setting off, cause I don't like it vibrating anyway.

6)Live wallpaper background will drain the battery. Also w/ these amoled screens, having a dark or black wallpaper will save you some battery compared to have a colorful background. I gained an extra hour of battery life when I switched to a dark/black wallpaper.

it's not coming up for us anymore. There's another thread on it, where we can't find it now.

I see what you mean. I just did a search for it and got BGOL at Work with the quaid symbol. Tapatalk just released a couple of updates, maybe HNIC needs to update the server or something.

This alone will help me, because I have a bright red ass rose, for my wallpaper. :)

Try signing out of your account and signing back in. I've seen this before. I just don't know what I did to fix it.
