Soccer: Copa America Centenario Final Match (Who U Got?)

Jamaica got flat out robbed today. The Ref from Peru showed bias from the start and the red card was straight rubbish. Jamaica a side which just beat Chile in Chile got done today. Pure Shame on the ref.

Yes...and no. Jamaica have a tendency to play arrogant when they play a side they are supposed to beat...especially when they just beat a team like Chile. Hector caused the goal with lazy passing. There were many moments when Jamaica just play too "cool" today while Venezuela looked like they really wanted the victory.
By time they really got going, Jamaica was down by one goal and one man. Look at the arrogance of bringing in Wes Morgan after everything turn to shit. Before the game he was supposedly too tired. It means that the feeling was that they could beat Venezuela without him. Jamaica is not good enough to approach a fucking game like that.
The refs fight against them because there is no money in Jamaica going far in this thing. But the players and coach certainly made their life harder as well. This was a very winnable game. Once Jamaica got going, it was clear we were the better team. But the team waited too long.

Well put. I've always said Jamaicans play for themselves rather than with a team mentality or idea in mind.

Shame cause they have the players to do something I feel.

He was warming up.

Told you Jamaica sloppiness and inconsistencies would take them out the competition.

They need more than luck to beat Mexico and Uruguay.
Yea you called it. They're really hot and cold these days. Some consistency is needed.

Jamaica tried to play long ball, that shit doesn't work on the international level.

It is not even their style of ball.

Hector again, he gotta make better decision with the ball.

And this whole thing about giving Morgan rest. Bad decision.....you have to play, it is a short competition and Jamaica cannot afford to play without their best player.

Come to find out the wrong anthem was played for Uruguay. It was the Chilean anthem. This is the second time the US has done this.

Utter disrespect from these broadcast teams.

It did seem short.
Uruguay anthem is 6 minutes long

Yea they said that it was supposed to rendered down to 1:30, and while they might've cut it down, they also cut it out completely.

And people wonder why the world doesn't take us seriously smh

Depends.. Suarez is a ridiculous difference maker. I'd make the gamble and throw an 80% Suarez into this one if it meant drawing level here. A PT against arguably the toughest opponent in the group isn't bad. They can make up for it against Jamaica or Venezuela later.

As much as Cavani wants to be the big man up top, why does it seem that he shrinks in big games or is that just my opinion

I agree with that. He's not lead role material. He's always fallen off as the star man in tournaments. He usually benefits heavily from the prescence of a Suarez or Forlan or a Zlatan at PSG. Great player but not in the elite ranks.
