This show is so fake it's ridiculous. Freeway Ricky Ross needs to get together with 50 cent's production team and make an authentic TV series about how crack actually got started in South Central LA.

Shit last week was filler in a way too. The only thing really happened was Franklin got his money back.
I think the problem with this show is that they marketed it to us as the birth of crack, and made Franklin the center piece.
Then when the shit start, us only caring about Franklin get, Mexican and CIA side stories we are not really invested in. Plus no crack yet and its halfway through the season.
I'm not mad at it. Shit didn't happen overnight. all 3 factors had to meet in the middle we see the top dog the middle man and the street dealer

I'm watching last weeks now and his scenes are the only ones I care about.
The CIA part is getting progressively worse each episode. They give no background and it has no cohesion. They drop them off in the middle of a story.
Franklin beginning to have the same problem Ghost from Power got. ..super smart guys who are made to look stupid to move the plot along...only a dude who isn't from LA would have rolled up into that Spanish hood like that...Franklin should have known better especially after being warned...he also should have been on guard the night them 2 dudes jumped him after they gave him that look at the club...its still a cool show although the CIA part is dragging
I just took it the writers wanted to reiterate how clueless and naive he is about the drug game.
ya he's a little bit TOO green...granted I didn't grow up in LA in the 80s so maybe it was normal for a black kid to roll up on eses like that...is this based on a true story?

Yeah but running up into a Spanish hood aint about the drug game...if you are in a city with "no go" areas for Black people, you are supposed to know that no matter if you are a hustler or a square...those dudes didn't know he was a hustler...all they saw was Black...Franklin isn't some sheltered kid...shit, he been a small time drug dealer working for his uncle...father is a former Panther and is now homeless in the streets...mother evicts people which he sees up close and personal...went to a White rich high school so he can look at his neighborhood from an insider's and outsider's perspective...Franklin should be way too smart to make some of the mistakes he is makings...he isn't some middle class suburban kid trying his hand at street shit...also, why just walk away from a dude who robbed you then was raped when you (or the dude who was with you when yall invaded his house) got the money back? you just walk away and don't think you might have issues from that side in the future?
Its all good though...still like the show...guess I just got spoiled by "The Wire"...look at how Stringer Bell's growing disconnect from the dirty side of the street game is handled so smoothly that when he actually fucks up its very believable

Yeah but you saw him...he thought the drugs was his pass....he thought since he was selling thst anyone would give him a pass for it. I thought it was a decent way to show he's not a drug dealer.
I get Wire-Itis too. It's a high bar and I've come to grips we probably won't ever get something like that again. So I lower expectations to shit like Power and this shits on Power.

I caught up on all the episodes earlier this week, this show is pretty good. That got Franklin character looking straight stupid, first he had to know to be on alert when he obviously took those others dealers hookup at the club. Dude gets his ass kicked, money stolen and bike stolen then when they go the house to get the money back he talking some "don't hurt him lets talk to him" bullshit. When dude that got raped was ready to shoot Franklin and his buddies his homeboy was like "we got him and then he got us, so lets just call it even"

But Franklin's crew is straight retarded they wanted to sniff Caine soon as they touched it, I would keep his cousin down since Franklin is too scared to pull the trigger as of yet. but the other dude gotta go.
And did Oso smash Pedro's wife already? the scene went dark how is Pedro going to take that he already think Oso weak and he caught them hugging?
And next episode how did they jump to Franklin trying figure out how to get powder off to white folk to cooking crack in the preview?
Also when Claudia was laying on the table with her thighs out telling Franklin to only come back when he wanted to learn something I would have jumped on her fine milf ass right then and there
