if the harddrive can power-up, youre good. if the drive can spin up, youre good.
if thats the case, then use a program called Stellar Phoenix, a good recovery tool. All that you have to do is install the program, and then connect the bad drive as a slave.
but if the drive cant power up, youre fucked. if the drive doesnt even spin, youre fucked.
may be its the spindle motor, or drive head, then you might as risk the effort of disassembling the drive and pull out the platters, and put it in another drive that may have the opposite symptoms that explained earlier.
