Shedeur Sanders Is Being Blackballed

@SPIDERMAN.

I can’t quote you for some reason, but I will respond.

1. Brotha. I appreciate that you are stating facts, but context matters. Unfortunately, we all watched college football as well. For Colorado, two of the three wide receivers went in the 6th and 7th rounds. Ohio State had a 2025 1st round wide receiver (Egbuka), a projected 2026 1st/2nd rounder (Tate) and a generational talent/Freshman (Smith).

Texas, Oregon, US and Georgia all had higher rated groups.

I get it. He was arrogant, audibles at the line, was the reason that they never ran. But context matters.

2. See answer 1.

3. We can agree to disagree on the why. I tend to believe that they passed so much because the running game could never get going and threw all those quick outs due to the weak offensive line. The Offensive line was graded somewhere in the early 100s in the Country. But context matters. Maybe all those sacks (43 were due to Shedeur holding the ball too long)?

4. Yes - we agree on audibling. I simply choose to believe that the Oline was garbage and his receivers were not built for the offense. He needed big wide receivers that could muscle a slant or get off the jam. He didn’t have that.

5. Shedeur held ball too long. Agree. Why, I thought because he was trying to do too damn much. But it may be also because he felt that everything rested on his shoulders on offense.

6. We are going to see how everything works without him. I wish Deon the best and hate no brotha that’s made it to the NFL, regardless of rounds.

oh I get what your saying but white males get the perception that black males don't...

the term kid gives the perception and impression of youthful immaturity like a 15 year old or a 12 year old pulling a prank that went sideways. People tend to blow it off because their children....not adults so you have to expect impulsive nonthinking shit happening. What that asshole did was immature and ridiculous but he was an adult doing it. He is someone's SON but he's someone's GROWN ASS son.

I remember reading comments online that kept describing dylan roof as a kid...he was 21 also.
All on this board people call lebron son…kid, child, boy, lebron son..even though he is also a man.. I’ve heard people do the same for sheuder cause he is Deion son.. so kid has been said for 2 grown black men on this board for yrs.. so when I refer to the cac father son as his kid I would think I was referring to him how several black men have been referred to

Watch when this dude come out, you won't hear none of that BS you heard about Shedeur.. Hell I think teams didn't want to win so they can be in position to get Manning next year. Smh!

His grandfather and uncles can all say he's gonna go to the team we want him on. Not one soul in the NFL will find issues with the comments. They'll pussy pop and matrix their way to say they're a passionate hall of fame qb family.

Excellent points. That's a QB that understood the team's limitations. Shedeur tried to squeeze everything out of every play despite his limited athleticism. It was tough to watch bc i was critical of the O coordinator for not finding balance somehow. Or at minimum designing more screen passes or misdirection plays. I'll take a qb that successfully keeps you in games 37tds low ints - win at all costs or die trying. Heart. Toughness.

I’ll add. Shedeur is right where he needs to be. He will stumble (because he is human). But I believe he will be the unquestioned starter in year 3.

The problem that we have is that we never get our people grace. Many times we are given one chance (Geno is the exception). And we often walk away from our people because we don’t want to have it thrown in our face.

I will give that brotha grace.

The owners want low self-esteem Black folks....

Not to be that guy. But have you heard from Arch's father at all? Arch essentially sat for 2 years at Texas. This will be his 1st year starting at Texas. Do you believe if Sheheur had gone to FSU like initially projected, he would have sat for 2 years behind another QB? And if so, do you believe Deion would have been silent? He would have transferred most likely.

Their situations are not the same. I can't tell you if Peyton & Eli have been vocal about their nephew because I don't watch MNF, but I haven't heard anything in the news cycle about them interjecting themselves into his life.
I'll say this...racism period but especially in American society is a true MINDFUCK and WE ALL have been affected. On the one hand we see a clear double standard on how Shadeur was treated vs some examples of white draft picks doing similar. On the other hand we saw Deion himself behave the exact same way when he was drafted number 5 in the first round back in his youth and nothing happened. Lebron was pretty brash in his youth (the Decision) and then transferred that attitude down to his son. Look at what he did with Bronny and we ALL agree that dude should not have come out college as early as he did and should NOT be in the NBA even part time at this point.

So we see what looks like the racist machine at work in Shedeur's case but in the case of his father at that same age...there was no backlash like that. remember, there was well to do black people during slavery times. During the jim crow era many of the most well known black activists were celebrities, people with a level of privilege and latitude in how they moved and did things.

We're all going back and forth trying to figure out is what happened to Shaduer purely racial or was it his behavior and attitude combined with his skill level that was truly off-putting. In the NBA Gilbert Arenas COULD HAVE and SHOULD HAVE been a first round pick but he fucked off the draft interviews and combine because he thought it wasn't that important and that by itself caused him to slip to the second round. Was that a racist system trying to buck break him or did he really show his ass to kiss to the wrong the people and they responded accordingly??

The joke is this isn’t the first time or first yr an athlete has been pranked on draft day..in fact it’s happened for various yrs..has been talked about, vids been posted b4, people even laughed about it.. but all of a sudden when it happens to someone they like they don’t find it funny.. sheuder wasn’t the only person that got pranked that day also. Yet nobody feels sorrow for the other guys or are really talking about it. In fact if they remove sheuder from the list I bet people would’ve found it funny and it would continue for yrs in the future
Oh there is still humor in watching that hype fall flat in the sander's family draft debacle. They going try to buck break all 3 of them cats

Unpopular take here, Shedeur not attending the NFL combine was a big mistake. It comes off as arrogant and selfish. Hopefully the brother will come through all this stronger
and for cam ward too..oh wait, he was the no 1 pick.

travis hunter skipped two. he must be arrogant as well...

dumb ass take to fit bullshit narrative

I'm just baffled, how so many people; especially the ones on TV believe this bullshit report. Every single year there's always an anonymous scout or GM saying a college player, who is projected to be a high draft pick,he did this or that and when the player drops in the draft. It rarely gets talked about again.

My favorite part is when people bring up Shedeur's career in Colorado. Prime had to completely overhaul the program there especially after they only won one game the previous year yet people expect Shedeur to be Tom Brady in his two years there.

Then, they want to talk about the opponents he faced. Don't people know that the out of conference schedule was agreed a couple years in advanced..They act like it the NFL where the out of conference opponents are rotated every four years.

Yes,Shedeur had the receiving corp but they had no running game and plus the offensive line was beyond garbage. Hell,I even agree that Shedeur held the ball too long in some cases but the offensive line was horrible.

Can you explain the bold? I don't think I've heard browny say 5 words since he's been in the NBA. I've always thought Bronny didn't want to play bball like that just looking at his body language.

How is he a coon?
By ignoring the obvious collusion on the part of the owners in allowing shedeur to fall in the draft as far as he did. It took a Donald Trump Tweet for them to finally draft him, and to the league's worse team no less. Plus Chris ignored the fact that Shedeur's private draft day phone number was leaked by the owners to prank and humiliate the dude.

So did they collude against the Ohio State QB drafted in the 6th round whose numbers were just as good as Shedeur's? Owners can draft who they want and the opposite is true as well. Maybe not coming off as an entitled prick would've helped his draft status. Then it was reported he didn't know some basic qb stuff in the interview. It's not like this dude was a Cam Newton talent. When the conversation about your attitude and personality become bigger than your game, this is what happens. The NFL excuses all kind of bullshit when your ability is elite enough. Your moniker is well earned.

A top 25 (the literal 25th place) team, number 4 in a division full of average ass teams. He shouldn't have gone in the 5th, but to act and fight like he should have gone in the first is nuts.

Some of ya be so thirsty for arguments that ya be trying to make issues out of nothing.. literally someone ask how did his number get leaked and I explained someone from a certain team had his laptop open and his “kid/son/child” copied the number down… somehow instead of seeing the obvious of me telling someone how his number got leaked you reached for the word “kid” to try to extend an argument

How do you feel that he didn’t apologize to the other nfl players he pranked by their names? How do you feel that this has been done b4 for many yrs and that it wasn’t made a big issue for those other poor athletes that were lied to? Why wasn’t it bigger investigations for them?

Out of all of the people that has worked with Shedeur, but no longer directly affiliated with him, none are vouching for him.

Shedeur bragged about working with Tom Brady for years but I can’t find one quote of Tom Brady saying that Shedeur is an elite QB.

Shedeur worked a full season with Sean Lewis. Sean Lewis has worked with an NFL QB and is a QB/offensive specialist. He is currently a Head Coach. I can’t find any quotes of him saying Shedeur is an elite QB.

The idea that Shedeur is elite really comes from his father and analysts who are friends of his father. His stats were impressive but QBs with impressive stats have been drafted low or I drafted for years. Colorado threw the ball every down and Shedeur took sacks rather than threw the ball away. He also didn’t work under Center much. Shedeur and Shilo were manufactured by their Father. Both were prioritized throughout their college careers and highly overrated when it comes to NFL ability. It’s not the NFLs fault. I predict that Dillon Gabriel beats out Shedeur for the backup spot.

What is the basis of your prediction for Dillon Gabriel beating our Shedeur? Just curious…

I know it’s not because Dillon Gabriel ran a pro-style offense successively or proved he could play under center. I know it’s not because of his elite athleticism. At 5’11 with a moderate arm, didn’t really wow college with his athleticism.

But I’m sure there’s a well thought out reason to think that.

He was projected to get picked in the first round. These CACs got in their feelings about what he said to not want pick him early but later in the 5th round to humble him but if he balls out, them CACs gonna look stupid as fuck for not drafting him earlier.

What about his game makes him a first rounder? What model says the number 16 qb would go in the first round?

Attitude is everything. Just a little more humility and he would've been fine. Reminds me of a situation when I was young. I used to hoop and went to Magic Johnsons' summer camp one year. There was a guy on my team named Sam Crawford who was just a wizard with the basketball. If anybody here is from Los Angeles, you might remember him. He played for Westchester and graduated in 1989. About 5'9", crazy handles, hops, could literally pass like Magic. He broke the vaunted Crenshaw High school full court press by himself, never had to pass the ball for help. He went on to play at New Mexico State and led the nation in assists his senior year and led them to the NCAA tourney. Sam was a great basketball player and he knew it. At Magic's camp, current pros and college players would stop by and the campers would watch them play pick up games. Sam was so good at 12, he'd get to play with them while the other kids watched. I ended up getting MVP over him when I wasn't half the player he was. And it was only because he was so cocky the coaches hated him. ESPN has him listed as a California play ground legend.

23. Sam Crawford, Westchester (Los Angeles) '89
"You got to remember, Westchester was one of the first L.A. City schools to have ninth-grade," said former Crenshaw standout Danny Griffin. "What he did in '86 against Crenshaw was unheard of." The freshman led a second-half comeback against the eventual state champs and in high school, was already doing battle with pros such as Michael Cooper and Norm Nixon. There were times the all-state guard got the best of pros, and he continued to flourish at Moorpark JC and New Mexico State, where he led the nation in assists as a senior.

I'm only speaking on what they said about him, brown fans said they could've took him in the first round but the CACs decided to teach him a so-called lesson because of what he said that hurt their fragile feelings.

Also, he's better than some of the QBs who got drafted before him.

I didn't watch a lot of Colorado games, but when he did come on, I would watch them play when the eagles don't play, because at the time I was too busy watching my eagles and I'm not a huge college football fan .

That's basically what's this thread is about of him being blackballed and reports are coming out to prove it.

What's funny is some of y'all on this thread thinks his son is trash..

If he plays well in the NFL, I'm gonna make it my duty to bump this thread for you and others as a reminder.

i never said he trash... he just not a first round pick.. not even second.

as i said before he will get his chance to prove the GMs wrong

i personally don't give a fuck I'm not a browns fan.. but y'all strangely care to much where this dude got drafted.
