Mack was on that D. Now I'm all for him getting a 100 mill
just once I calmed down and thought the team had way too many holes to spend on luxury.
Our CB’s and safeties stayed slow and getting burnt up, along with Ken Norton Jr as DC
Mack always did his thing tho he deserved his money.
Yo Mello, I feel your pain. I've been a Raider fan since 71 and I know pain from that organization. I thought I only had to outlive Al Davis to see things turn around and then this happens with his son.

Nice pick up, first round receivers been sucking lately. There are no great receivers coming out of this draft either.
2 time pro bowler, only 6 months older than Calvin Ridley, probably worth the gamble.
Still gonna suck as long as they have Linehan and Garrett as the coach.

Stephen runs the show for the most part and this was really him admitting they messed up thinking they could go into the season and compete with the group of WRs they have. If it was up to Jerry Dez would still be on the team. And let me remind everyone the Cowboys did try to get Sammy Watkins at beginning of free agency and were willing to pay him top dollar. And he is an inferior player to Dez or Cooper.

People saying this allows them to evaluate Dak. That may be true, but it also puts Garrett and Linehan on notice. No more fucked up offense.
What is better solution for now? What would have been a better move, knowing they have nothing close to #1 receiver?
Cooper has been a 2 time Pro Bowler and only 24, potential is there. I do not think he is a top 10 receiver now, but I do think he was the best, young available receiver currently on the market.
They were in a bidding war, so apparently other teams valued Cooper.

Make Marinelli a front office assistant and let Kris Richard be head coach. That young brotha has a future.
Marinelli gets the credit for the defense, and the secondary is still the weakest part of a top 5 defense. They were ranked #8 last year, before Richard even got there.
Also, he is the passing game coordinator, so he is responsible for helping the receivers with strengths and weaknesses, and preparing them for opponents. I would not say he he and the WR coach have done the best job of improving the receivers up to this point.
The white man's don't work like that, but he is doing a pretty good job with the secondary, but could do better. I think he is in line for the DC if Marinelli moves up.
They overtraded but reports were that teams were interested in giving up a 2nd rounder....so if everyone giving up a 2nd rounder including the Eagles then common sense says if you want him you either gotta over trade for him. That's what happens when you abandon a position like they did. They talked that shit about not needing a #1 and had their ass looking crazy. Getting rid of Dez was fine but you should've had someone waiting in the wings. Offense just needs to get Frederick back and look at a tight end and they should be already a lot better. Its all up to play calling and Dak now.
Secondary been good though. I don't know what the stats say but I know Byron Jones is having the best year of his career at corner. Hell soon as Richard signed on the dotted line he spotted Byron and knew he was corner.

It has to suck being a native Californian Raiders fan. I understand why the Raiders are tanking. They trying to get assets and be competitive as possible when they move to Vegas. Still sucks though from a fan perspective.
