[Question] Why should I drop 500 on the Xbox One x[????]

I'm More than casual Gamer, I enjoy the shit but I don't set my clock to get up just to game or lock myself in the house for the weekend and play all day long.

So what I do know is that it is 4kcompatible which is useless to me at this point because I'm sure you would need a 1000$ to buy a 4k tv and I can't do that right now, They say the graphics have 6 teraflops of processing power which I'm not sure what that means yet how good can Madden or GTA a look, Will it be like playing a movie the characters look almost human will it feel like I'm watching Monday night football and actually controlling the players on the field.

So I get better graphics and all of that but how much better? and what else should I be Geeked about With the so called most powerful console in the world?

All of you dudes who live and breathe this shit tell me what I will miss if I don't buy it?

1. 4k tv can be had for way under $1k.
2. For me, buying a console is about potential exclusives which the one x is way ahead of the game with it's hardware. PS4 pro is going to fall behind because they have no games that are coming out built exclusively for it's hardware. If you're just going to be buying madden and the next gta, save your money until a real console generation comes around. Multi-platform games are always programmed for the least powerful common denominator of systems: PS4 and X1. PS4 Pro and One S are on the same level.
3. If you're not investing in 4k HDR, there's going to be a limit to what visual improvements you see unless a developer decides to bump the framerates from the 30fps which is console standard. Again save the money.
4. IF you can get the pre-order in, consider flipping it for the holidays. MS usually ships a lot of units but since this drops in November, might be hard to find again until after the holidays.

if you play online, Xbox live is a system seller in it's self. I own both consoles but i choose to play online on xbox live, it's just better in every way

I have both. I play online with the Xbox the most because most of my friends have xbox. My PlayStation is pretty much for exclusives. I want MvC infinite and don't know what system to get it on now. No one I know plays that game, so I could get it for the pro because I like the PlayStation controller better for fighting games. The next big Xbox exclusive is Cuphead, which I already purchased. Even Phil Spencer came out during E3 and said Xbox is the best place to play 3rd party games. I'm not paying $500 for a system that doesn't have any software optimized for it

I'm probably going to get it since it technically won't be coming out of my pockets. I have slight pause because I have a 4k tv (under $1000) but it doesn't have HDR. Just bought it on impulse. I do see myself getting a super dope 4k tv in the near future though.

Always been PS head though. Haven't owned an Xbox since that big black mf. Played 360 at times.

I have a gaming PC, PS4 Pro, Xbox One, and I pre-ordered the Xbox One X.

I use the consoles to game with friends online, I also like the fact that the Xbox One X will play 4K UHD DVDs (I don't know why Sony did not include that on the Pro).

I built a gaming rig last summer for about 500 bucks. I love it. More than powerful enough to run any game on medium to high settings. Steam is so convenient. Only reason I don't use it more is because I still struggle with keyboard and mouse for shooters.

As far as the X, I won't be getting it anytime soon. It's just not worth it for me since I don't have a 4k/HDR TV. And everything that eventually comes out on the X will also be on my OG Xbox One. I won't be upgrading at all until the next real console generation.
