Principal gets arrested for whipping daughter with extension cord

ok so you say its ok to use belts which are made of leather (well mines have been)...
Yeah the main difference here is that the belt is flat and wide.

It's the same reason you can paddle a kid with a flat board, and not with broomstick or pipe!!!

switches, which leave big ass welts on the body and if swung with enuff force
Why are we swinging with such force???? :smh: :smh: :smh:

This is EXACTLY what I'm talking about. The object here is discipline, NOT abuse.

can remove skin like a whip... but no to extension cords... cant be with some and not the others...
Again you're emphasizing my point.

Your first clue that abuse is occuring... Injuries!!!

The object is to discipline the child... not injure him. :smh:

It's amazing how many people abuse their kids, and then try to pretend it's not abuse.

and why do ppl constantly bring up slavery when they talk about whoopings.. do ppl seriously think that whoopings became popular amongst our ppl only after they were brought over here on ships... u think parents didnt discipline their kids until 1555....
No I bring up the slavery issue to show the hypocrisy.

But we don't have to stop there. Hell... you wouldn't do that to the family dog. If you did, your neighbors would call the cops or the SPCA would have you hauled off to jail on some Michael Vick type shit.

If it's wrong to do it to slaves, and family animals... it's wrong to do it to kids.

There are way too many other options. Again, belts, and switches, and paddles

NOT...

whips, chains, cords, and hangers. :smh: :smh: :smh:

I cant get over how this man was beating his almost grown ass daughter with an extension cord.

16 WTF

Like someone said...he was probably enjoying it.

Hit me at 16 and Im leaving.

I agree with minor spankings for children who are learning wrong from right, but using an extension cord on a child that could legally stop going to public school by choice is definitely an abuse of control and power.

This fool is a principal and should know better.

And as I think back about the whippings that I got...they didnt make me a better person.

My whole primary school life was caning integrated. If one did not receive a caning for one thing or another for a day, we had evidence that there is a God. Caning used to be for all kind of things, making noise, loitering, getting to school late, disobidience, getting an obvious mental sum wrong, not getting 80% on your history paper etc... There never was sass, back talk, threatening a teacher with going to the police, nothing. Some teachers even used to beat us on the back of our hands, yes, I mean on the knuckles and not with a ruler either. I remember even after 3 years of high-school, I had a swelling on my ring and middle fingers as a result.

My mom? that was another dimension to the whole thing. Bamboo sticks were the thing, or a rolling pin if nothing else was within reach...

Hahaha close your mouth already, we are already properly Westernised now, with the human rights watchdogs on the case. It no longer is legal to discipline a child physically either at home or at school anymore. Its sad because it hurts to see an 8yo old child talk back to her silent mother who can do jack about it e.t.c.

Oh, the memories. Is it OK to beat a child? Well, I don't know I sure don't want to go to jail. Good luck with the kids of this generation, am glad I got an asswhooping even though it was extreme at times and I love and thank my parents for it.

damn you too? used to have flashbacks about those as well as dr scholls clogs and hot wheels racetrack sections

Those hotwheels tracks were a bytch! Me and all my friends got thwm for xmas and as soon as th eword spread about ass whipping with them we throw them damn things in the trash:lol:

Spanking is a form of discipline and there is nothing wrong with disciplining a child. Look at how badly our community is fallinmg apart and look at what has happened in society... you can't spank your kids but they want to put you in jail now if your kid gets in trouble or in some cases doesn't go to school. You can't even yell at a kid in schools anymore and we wonder what is wrong with society! Kids know that teachers can't do anything to them so they act up in school and they know their parents can't(and in this thread, won't) do anything to them so they act any damn way they please. You want to kno what's wrong with kids today? No discipline. Discipline is an important part of maturity and we do not teach it anymore:smh:

How are you gonna raise a daughter to respond to being beat by her parents as a means of control, yet get made when her husband does the same to her for control?

The hypocrisy of the west.

See, we grew up in the same environment, and caning was a constant.

NO HOMO: I have a mark on my ass till this day from caning I got when in Secondary School. All for what, the whole class was "making noise" and we all got caned for that. :smh:

I know for a fact that the ass whoopings I got is what made me become who I am today. I swear if many of these kids got punished, they will shape up quick.

Only thing I have to say it is one thing to spank a child, but another to take your world frustration out on a kid.

I caught clothes hangers, belts, canes, water hoses, and even the flat side of a machete. Trust me. I am a model citizen now with no single arrest, no speeding ticket. etc.

Man these kids in America. My son knows what's up though. Catholic schools in Africa was the discipline hole. I grew up in the Principal's office. My ears were always being pulled for doing everything wrong. I decided to change and live up to my potential after starting poorly.:yes::yes:

My mom wd beat you till u got the point.

machete?? damn..

 that shit used to get me so mad I'd pray to God to strike down the offending teacher.

Secondary school (boarding) for me was without incident, till I got busted once for 'basking'. Well, I wasn't, I was just coming from the loo and happened to be passing at where these five dudes laid on the grass basking on class time. (The teacher never turned up for the lesson) My attempts at defense were fruitless and I lined up like the rest to get my medicine.

Lawd, I will NEVER forget that day. That damn stick used to hit the ceiling before it landed on yo butt. I woke up from the floor after a mere 3 canes and I swear to God I fumbled for the doorknob at the hinge-side of the door. I was fucking confused!!

Man these folks don't know.

Apart from the bamboo canes, do you remember those long, brown flexible ones that really felt like a whip? I had teachers that will use those and "waste" them on you.

Definition of waste - they beat you with the cane till it breaks in pieces.

If these kids were punished harder and with more consistency than they do today, they will not be acting up like this. :smh:

Schwartzreich said Jones has cooperated with the investigation and turned the cord over to police.
I'll just speak on Broward county and it's ways of going after certain individuals too harshly or doing the total opposite and not correctly punishing those who need to be.Fuck Broward county!.

As far as punishing your children goes, well it's a personal preference that's usually deep rooted into one's family and even if it isn't,it's up to the parent's of a child to determin how they want to parent.

I remember the late Richard Pryor saying, how much he hated switches as a child,so much so that as an adult everytime he sees a bush he tries to kill it(up-root it).I feel the same way:lol:

Yep, My primary school Headmaster used to have a special locker with an assortment. Just imagine bending over on the desk (no homo)waiting while he flexed at each to find a suitable one. Damn, that waiting was even worse than the beating itself.

You gotta understand though that there is a thin line between discipline and hardening. I remember these kids that came from a Catholic Boarding Primary school, bright kids that 'thugged' up the moment they got to Secondary school. They would not reform no matter how hard you beat them.

I remember the moment a kid said he was from St. Martin's, we would just whistle and walk away...:smh:

So sad that parents are chastised for disciplining THEIR kids! If we had more of it we'd have less of the fuckery that's out here now. If the state knows best on telling parents how to raise their kids maybe THEY should raise them instead.
