Prince talks about Michael Jackson

You're trying too hard

Nah Fool, Chris Rock is a Fucking Tap Dancing Coon for dem White Folx. I ain't forgot about his little comment about Tupac and Biggie. Plus that Lame Clown can't step foot back in his old hood in the BK because he know he'll get his Gurilla looking arse Chased the Fuck out by a mob of OG Niggas, there is a reason why he named that show "everyboy hates Chris".

Can't y'all make your arguments about Prince without the fruity pics?

Just sayin'.......:smh:......

D-Nice 1 (The Nice One)

Its no different than the Michael Jackson Hating CAC Trolls posting photos of Michael hanging out with Kids and the trolls making it out to be something Sexual.:smh:

I was fortunate enough to see both careers from start,blow-up,and mature. You cats born in the 80s missed a decade of pro black innovative RnB pop beginning mixed with the atmosphere of african cultural awareness.
Prince is the king of his category and michael is the king of his catergory meaning rnb pop musician and rnb pop performer.Prince was talented enough when he was hungrier to write, compose, and perform the music for a big selling MJ album. With MJs singing anmd dancing talent ,an PNs musical skill they could have made a groundbreaking album at that time 1980,81.Prince deserves props for not going the normal rnb route, and being a follower to record company ideas of his use of talent.MJ took what was givin to him and molded it to fit his style.PN created something out of different existing styles and made it uniquely different.2 kings, both great, and could outdo the other in different categories. If pn said lets create the score to this new movie by playing all the instruments,MJ couldnt have done it as PN could never perform a thriller on stage off someone elses composed music.Hence you have the pop puppet and the pop player.

Yet another bone headed decision by Prince!!! Being in the BAD video would have made Prince a star. Instead, he is just the guy in Purple Rain who never made enough money to live in LA and was to short to ever really be a success.

I love my man Prince, especially his ballads, but dude always came off like his shit don't stink to me. On one hand I think dudes a genious and on the other I think he's so smart he's stupid.

Very funny. MJ himself should have never made that video. It became an instant punchline to a joke. Very lame. Prince was busy recording his masterpiece, Sign o' the Times, while MJ was starting his downward spiral with this Bad nonsense (the video was a weak attempt to remake "Beat it") and his subsequent recordings. Prince's output (including videos) post-1983 destroys MJ's in every way, shape and form.

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Yeah. Nobody's heard of Prince. Too bad he couldn't be a star.

I won't remind you who wins.... who had more money as of last month, who can die without a ruined legacy, and how the "competition..." which only existed in the minds of mentally challenged obsessive idiots like yourself... was officially decided by simple capability to survive in the real world.

*Ignored*

Wasn't Prince supposed to be on the "Bad" record? I remember reading he passed on it after reading the first lyric of the song.

never heard of that.. it would make sense tho if it was about to happen cuz tha "Bad" album was tha first album he had total control over.. that was tha first album in which he launched MJJ Records.. but i kno i never heard about Prince possibly being on that record

i actually heard a rare interview that chris rock did with prince where Michael wanted prince to be in the "Bad" video and prince was like "he damn sure aint gonna sing that to me..lol."

Stupid ultra homophobic reasoning ... :smh::smh::smh: That line is the equivalent of "yo ass is mine" which was said in many confrontations in 70's, 80's, and probably early 90's culture (movies, music, and such) and sports (particularly the pugilistic ones); usually to connote an intent to whip someone's ass. More than likely the only reason the line was "Yo' butt is mine" instead of "Yo ass is mine" was because at the time, Michael had a pretty strong affinity against foul language. I like Prince just like the next one but Fuck him for that one. :smh:

Nah... Prince is just a little more practical than Mike was.

Prince realizes he's a little dude in women's clothes who occasionally wears assless pants. He gets it, knows he's an odd duck. Mike, on the other hand, was still arguing there was no problem being a grown man sleeping in a bed with children. Just couldn't get why someone thought that was wierd.

Prince saw it like this... at least this is how I understand it.... They are both fairly effeminate singers. The last thing Prince wanted was to put that "your butt is mine" line in the hands of people who were already eager to call both of them gay. That kind of thing, even as a joke, starts to eat into your marketability.

Hence "you not singing that to me, and I know I'm not singing that to you."

And I remember people using that "your butt is mine" joke repeatedly.

Peace,

Take it easy, fella. Prince is just having some fun.

Cut it out. None of this has anything to do with reality.

^^^^^^^^^^^

You may know a little about Hollywood dating, but reality seems to be something you're not too familiar with.

But if you insist, be more specific.

man if you google "chris rock interview with prince" you'll see i'm not bullshitting. it was in the 90's when the interview took place for vh1

dogg.. i :hmm:'d u cuz that vid's been posted and quoted like 6 times in this thread before u even said that

How so??? Find a thread I started on that topic.

Everything you wrote was ridiculous. Neither of those two considered themselves "effeminate" and that had nothing to do with their choices about the song or video. Prince was a GIANT STAR still on the rise artistically (while Jackson had already peaked). Why in hell would Prince want to share a song or a silly video with Jackson? He had plenty of his own shit to do, including directing his own films and making classic music. MJ had all sorts of crazy ideas about working with people, but they had little to do with reality. He was in his own bubble.

:hmm: I find it funny how only a few months ago you said this when it came to Prince:
And Warner Brothers was right. He put out way too much unpolished product, which ended up boring his audience and stalling his career. He arrogantly refused to be EDITED. He's yet to truly recover commercially or artistically, though his exalted status remains secure.

Dude should be turning out monster #1 hits like "Hey Ya!" and "The Way You Move" (both of which show his influence). Unfortunately, he can't write a hit to save his life these days. And it's not because he's not commercial-minded. He was one of the great, traditional Pop/Rock/R&B songwriters. His influences were ALL commercial.

MJ won at age 18 because at that point, he had sold more records than Roger (prince) ever has. Roger is a fake, a phony, a midget, childless loner who can't keep a woman, and too short to really have a life, so he stays under a rock in the mid-west strung out on himself. He is the sole cause of the black gay population increase in Atlanta over the last 20 years. Remember how Warner Bros raped Prince??? He will never have MJ type of money.Listen to your brotha below::smh:

I was a fan of both of them growing up.
Michael put that 'olive branch' out there for Prince.
I think Price was intimidated by Michael.
There was no competition between them because Michael was a tidal wave while Prince was a bucket of sea water in comparison on their impact on the music industry at the time.

Are you on crack??? At age 18 MJ had only sold maybe 3 or 4 million albums (mostly with the J5), though no one was counting very closely then.

All true since the mid-'90s. Dude had TOO MUCH music in his tank. Thats a nice problem to have, if a bit messy. On the other hand, MJ did NOTHING of much value after the '80s. Just kept trying to re-make Thriller and Off the Wall, unsuccessfully, rather than move on and do a variety of music like the far more artistic (and more musically talented) Prince did.

Prince is a father. He never has to sleep alone. Plenty of females would share his pillow and headscarf. How does being short prevent one from having a life? Nobody can compare to MJJ record sales. Both of these dudes are legends. Prince is still making money and his name is music.

Dude lighten up.

Motown and Epic were counting and the MJ and J5 collection at age 18 far surpasses Prince(roger) records sales to date.

Roger/prince is NOT a father. His baby died young due to his ex-wifes drug use. All of Rogers/princes fans are GAY because he is GAY/downlow and he caused the GAY uprising in Atlanta!!!

WTF. Prince was a star. He brought people into the gam with him and made them stars.(DUH). Maybe he didn't have an ablum to sell 30+ million. but he produced, wrote, and played most of the instuments on his albums.

I was not referring to the child that died. You say Prince is not a father. I say he is. I don't have a DNA test to show so I won't pursue the issue.

Now, how are you going to link Prince with what is going on in ATL.? This makes no sense. No one has ever linked Prince to ATL. He is linked to the the twin cities. Cite your source of Prince's corruption of ATL. Your beef with Prince seems quite personal.

Here's the thing... I agree with every word of what you just said, which is why I didn't get your previous response. I don't see how you claim everything I wrote was ridiculous when I've said everything in this quote at other points in this thread. Fact is, you don't address anything directly in this quote that I was addressing directly in mine.

No, what was ridiculous is that your response. Telling me why Prince didn't do it... I don't know who your source is, but know who mine is?

Prince.

In the damn video the man just damn posted.

This is what we call "all in the Kool-Aid, and don't know the flavor." I admit, you do that shit well.
