ya man shit like this is what makes a show ok vs. great...I wish they had taken the time to show this rather than have him say it and that half ass scene we got w/ him and ghost last week that lasted like 5 min. it would've made his death and that kill scene far more memorable

the dialog between Rolla and Ghost was the best acting sequence in the whole fucking season Then he goes to tommy house and you see how weak of an actor he is

was a good ep but the writing is so average. If some HBO writers did this same script this show would be crazy

ya I think season 2 will be the war between 50 and son vs. ghost/tommy...I'd be surprised if they wrapped it up in the next 3 eps

Only one episode left. So im sure it will just set up next season for the most part.

that cameo by dude from the wire tells me where this series gets its inspiration...when ghost started crying before offing that young bull tells me he aint built for this shit plus his lost in love shit with angela.

Just the opposite. Him handling that himself shows you he is indeed built for that shit. You must have missed the season opener when he handled business outside the club as well.

by the way the scene with the club owner was good too. he made sure to let ghost know that he still a nigga. they should show more shit like that.

Best scene of the season. I enjoyed the dialogue there a lot.

Throughout the season they make a point to show and say how they keep things in order and professional by handling most of their own problems. When they first started it was a conscious decision in creating their business model. They are mainly distributers with a small crew which caters to a certain clientele. They purposely try to minimize the street shit. Im sure that's what 50 used a a weak point to attack them as well. He knows Ghost has a limited army due to how he conducts business and isn't trusting of anyone.

I thought the show was trash the first few episodes and started to give up on it. But its come along the last two episodes.

That's where this show fails. The show is too busy trying to focus on other meaningless plots that they forgot to develop Rolla's relationship with Ghost. Because i'm sitting over her elite.....why is this dude crying for him? I guess he has a father/son or big brother/little brother relationship with him but the show didn't do a good job of displaying it.

That very well may be the case. But I feel if you're doing a TV or Film its better to show that relationship than just allude to it. AT MOST.....i'd say I seen that dude on screen probably twice. MAYBE 3 times through 7 episodes. To me that's like Avon getting String bodied by Omar and Mouzone and never getting that Avon and String backstory. I just didn't feel they did a good enough job of displaying that and they haven't on the show. Even Ghost and his side chick he grew up with. Haven't seen each other in years but willing to ruin his family life just seen her again? Seems like the show is moving too fast for its character development IMO.

yep they did. also they got only 8 eps what you expect to happen? they cant go deep in everything maybe. if there were more eps i could understand but its only 8. the story works for me so far. they do need to chill on the romantic shit and focus more on the streets and business side of the club.

That is a pivotal part in the story though. That should've been something the writers made sure they got across.

The romantic shit is done for eye candy to get people to tune in. I get they gotta throw that shit in there. But they can focus less on Eminem and his crackhead klepto of a girlfriend's relationship. They're doing too much.

And Tommy says something like "same reason two corner boys looked their connect in the face and shot him in the head...". He was talking about them. That's how they decided to do things from jump. Just them two running the entire show and putting in their own work.

You're right they do it with Fif but they also make sure to mention that every episode. Initially we didn't know the type of relationship Fif had with them two but more info comes out with each episode even in the last episode for them to hit Rolla up just on the word of Fif's character. They've done a solid job with that one. That Rolla shit though.....maybe it was done good enough but I thought they could've done better. As soon as I seen Ghost crying I knew why he was.
