I've still never had Popeye's
I dont see why one has to be "better" than the other. Chick Fil A has a quality sandwich, with its own signature flavor, and Popeyes sandwich is good as well.
Definitely a “Marketing Ploy”!
Popeyes made 23 million dollars in just over a few weeks but they chose to take the sandwich away because didn’t want an extra 100 million dollars in revenue.
That sounds about right to me...
Not a marketing ploy at all, just fundamental supply and demand.
They only had so many chicken breasts earmarked throughout the country for a certain time frame. They blew through their projected July, August, and September inventories, and then in a last ditch effort, blew through October’s as well to capitalize.
There’s no way they would’ve halted sales for no reason the way things were going. Demand simply outgrew the supply and they ran outta chicken to sell. Having waited in line for 45 mins to an hour, I believe it. Folks was buying em 4-6 at a time.
it's about supply chain.. it was for a limited time at first... now they have to fill the supply chain in order to make it permanent.... it was a perfect storm for them marketing wise though

Business 101 is if you have a successful product that is flying off the shelves you sell until the wheels fall off and two months seems like a long time just to get supply up, so IDK but maybe they was in litigation about the sandwich and worked out a deal.

I finally had it. The classic was good but i prefer the chic-fil-a original.
The spicy was outstanding. Id get that over the chic-fil-a spicy.
I wouldnt wait in line for either, its not that big of a difference.
