Pocket PC Owners come on in

Man this browser is the truth...I would love to drop it in here but heres the thing....Skyfire has a tight leash on this beta release...i can post the cab but it will not work when you install it because you have to create an account that is tied to the phonenumber and email you used when you signed up for the beta...therefore when you fire the browser up it does an authentication against their servers and if your device and phone number do not match up....no dice

Yeah, figured that. I signed up for the beta, but have to wait till beta 2 is ready. Thats what the message said.

But you might want to consider upgrading the ROM on your device to WM 6.1...it has sms threading in it now...I'm hoping someone makes a cab for it just like they did for the pocket IE (with the added zoom function) as I have no other reason at this time to upgrade my tilt to 6.1

or try this:

Is there an official rom for the xv6800 (HTC devices)

Is the Tilt still the best winmo 6 device out on att?

I shoulda bought that bitch when it was $50 at Amazon w/ new contract.

IMO...yes...I previously had the 8125 and the 8525(great phone also, especially if GPS is not needed). I have had the tilt for a few weeks now and I am thoroughly satisfied.

FYI,You can get it for $99.00 after rebates and contractat these two places:

Default SkyFire web browser
It is new, still in private beta but it looks too good to be true:

http://www.skyfire.com/

For the first time ever, you can watch any web video, listen to any web music, stay connected on any social network and browse whatever you want. Anything you can browse from your PC, you can now browse from your mobile phone.

We’re talking about full-featured PC versions of your favorite web sites. Skyfire gives you speedy page loads, full audio, video, images, dynamic Flash content, advanced Ajax, Java and more – just like your PC.

If you live in US, you can sign up for the private beta:

Anybody know about this Ultimate Launch program?

[FLASH]http://www.youtube.com/v/8gFpZZ6J88g&hl=en[/FLASH]

yup sure do...been using it for two months now...it is very dope...take the interface to the very next level ...leaps and bounds over the iphone interface.....it just takes paitence to configure

I was going to share it earlier but its really for advanced tinkerers(i dont think niggas here, except for a select few are ready for this) and i didnt want to answer all the questions about it....but

here is the fully cracked version:
www.sendspace.com/file/gq4mym

What is the best Browser to use. I have Opera Mobile 8.65 but my touch screen isn't working with that. So i need a nice browser that will take advantage of that. Scrolling with buttons is whack.

Does anyone know if Tmobile charges for wifi usage? I don't have the internet plan for my wing but when i was at this hospital this weekend i turned on wifi and was able to log onto the internet using the hospitals wifi, will i be charged for this?

Niceeeeee.....
I'm most likely not one of the cats that are ready for the advanced shit but I've learned damn near everything in life through trial and error so fuckit I aint scared.

No, you dont pay for wifi. Thats like if you have wifi in your home, and tmobile tries to charge you to use your own wifi, no way.

That coreplayer simply doesn't work. Any reason why? I can't watch a video from youtube or anything of mine.

Which version do you have? If its the newest version, you go to Coreplayer, tap the youtube icon, and there it is. You can also search and enter urls. Works perfectly for me.

What device do you have? You shouldnt have to scroll with buttons only. Go to Menu, Tools, Settings, Misc. and make sure "Use Grab and Scroll" is checked. If that doesnt work, download Spb Pocketplus. It has a touchflo feature for the browser.

ALright thanks for the info, about to check out that coreplayer now

Anyone ever do any tethering via usb. How is the speed? Connection Strength?

I have a PPC 6800 through sprint and a data card. So I was thinking of just getting the $99/Unlimited plan, tethering off of the 6800, and canceling the data card.

Need some input first though.

Yo Sprint Touch users. This may be a silly question, but I'll ask anyways. Got one of those touch phones and noticed it has some funky looking usb connector (micro-usb i think). Can you safely hook up a normal (mini-usb) without any issues. I have the mini-usb hooked directly up to it now and it seems to be working fine. I was surprised it even fit.

What's the difference between mini and micro usb anyway?

NVM...After 20 minutes of googling this shit I found the answer to my own question. This was driving me nuts....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTC_ExtUSB.

It only mini usb. That is the new standard now. That wierd plug just looks that way for the peripheral devices that you hook up to the phone ex. headphones

what you need to do here is ...in the UI configuration select that particular plugin click on the Display tab for that plugin and play with the settings for the margins.... e.g

Margin (left/right) <----this is the one you need to mess with
Margin (top/bottom)

on my phone i had to do this for the HTC Home Plugin....when I get home I will uplod a video I made of how I had my phone set up a couple weeks ago...

http://rs272.rapidshare.com/files/95467331/SpbMobileShell2.cab

after installing reboot device and go to the Spb tools options and put in one of these codes. after you put it iin it will say thanks 4 registering. The register screen will stay up until you hit ok. After that to confirm go back into tools and you should no longer have the option to register. Remember you must run this cab file from the device itself
