Phil Jackson: Carmelo Anthony 'better off somewhere else'

Maybe I'm missing something, but are you saying there's only 1 great player in the NBA currently???

He didn't recently start playing. Players have come and gone during his career. Personally I think Phil doesn't respect him because he opted for the max contract and no chance of winning. There were more competitive teams available. Winning isn't a priority for him.

Or maybe he trusted his GM to put a quality team around him and allow his coaches to coach...

Man, Melo don't want to leave cause he really playing for the money now!!..:smh::smh:..If he gets traded, the team who he goes to prob want him to restuctured his contract cause his salary is too high!!..Phil is bashing Melo badly but melo dont want to leave because he wants that big money!!..

Think about your rep melo and get the fuck outta there!!..:smh::smh:

They don't do that in the NBA

Who is stupider, Melo or Phil?

When Lebron got Bosh, Wade, and himself to be free agents at the same time, Melo had the same opportunity, but dude wanted that guaranteed contract from Denver. Then he demands a trade to the Knicks that guts the team. Then while the ship be sinking, he reups and gets a no-trade clause to prove he's committed. That no-trade became the noose around his neck and his brand. Now he can get paid on a loser team, or look like a ring-chaser by dropping your no-trade and hoping to go to a contender.

Phil on the other hand, this idiot gives Melo a no-trade when he didn't have to, and then continues to bash his best player driving down his value on the trade market, because everyone knows you have to get rid of him.

My Knicks are a fucking mess.

Phil
he gave a dude a no trade clause when he could have said we just not gonna resign you
Then he turns around and kills his trade value by shitting on him in the media every chance he gets

Phil is a fucking idiot
When Melo went to the knicks they went to the playoffs
Melo ain't responsible for Baker being their best point guard PHIL IS

:frozen::itsawrap:

Phil Jackson is living proof that the notion of what worked in the 80s and 90s automatically would dominate this era is straight up bullshit. The game changes, the game evolves, unfortunately Phil hasnt. And in the past he could get away with his smug holier than these nigras I coach attitude. Cats bowed down to that because he had jewelry. Cats looked up to him because of his coaching success. Now? He's a nobody and a shit GM. And truth be told, as a coach at the end there dude got his ass kicked and looked like the game passed him by (see Mavs-Lakers 2011). I feel bad for New Yorkers. They deserve better than this idiot white supremacist.

As for Melo, when finances are your #1 priority rather than comfort or what makes the most basketball sense, this is what you get. Melo has never been mass marketable, nor does he make CACs feel "safe", so I understand why he had to get every dollar he could from his contracts. Not like he got commercials running or advertisers swarming him. But the moves he made led to him being in this position. I hope he can latch on to some team as a 2nd or 3rd option and get him a piece of jewelry. He seems to be a good person and I commend him for speaking up for his people when he certainly could've chosen not to.

You can be real when you want to be....

Basically my Knicks are dead until the idiot owner sells the team. I was hoping he would when he sold cablevision , but nooooo. This retard reup phil for another two years of fuckery despite not even being able to build a .500 team and publicly shitting on your franchise play every chance he gets. Who the fuck they think gonna come here.
The whole Charles Oakley senario gives you an insight on how fucking retarded and out of touch dolan is. This fool thought he wasn't in the wrong until the entire sports world started bashing him

That's a part of the even bigger picture

Why would anyone want to go there while Phil is running things treating his star player like this
If I were Melo, I'd tell the NY media that I'll consider a trade once Phil either steps down or is removed from power. Phil's inherent bitchassery would make for an entertaining response. (it might lead to an implosion, too)

THIIIIISSSSS.......

Yeah... He basically told them to go fuck themselves. Thing is, da fuck makes Phil believe any self respecting star would fuck up their career and come play for his ass with how he's disrespecting Melo?!
Y'all said the samething about Pat Riley and players lined up to play for the Heat. Players will go anywhere that they think they could win. It is that simple. No one is not going to consider Melo's failures if Phil puts together a good team.

No GM has been able to win with him. Melo had D Rose, C Lee, and Prozingas and could only win 30 games. I don't care what yall say, you got players winning games with much less.

Why should Melo stay? Phil has told him several times to move on which was great advice. If Phil is so terrible like you claim, why on earth would you wish for Melo to stay.

And you of all people can't talk about anyone's management because the Sixers are the worst managed team in the NBA. How many years of winning 25 games can yall take.

Don't forget bout his encounter with a fan less than a month later where he admitted to cursing back at him & then tried to use the "the fan was drunk and belligerent" excuse while trying to ban him Dolan's ineptitude makes the Buss family drama look like a slap on the wrist :smh:

Who said he was?

25 pts, 7 rbs, 3 ast for his career... Yeah, damn near anybody has that type of stat line, da fuck is our problem

After he won that championship in college I had higher expectations for him. What good is scoring 25 a game and not winning. I'm sorry but that don't mean shit. Carmelo should have done way more with his career. His ability says he should carry a franchise but it's never happened. Horrible playoffs record and no NBA Finals appearances. He's good on the Olympic teams tho!

So explain why after what, 3-4 years, the biggest acquisition has been Noah? Nobody wants to play in that oppressive environment and Pat wasn't as big of a dick to his player as Phil has been to Melo so your situational 'comparison' is wwwaaayyy off...

Dude, only 12 players in league history who have averaged more than him and only 5 of those players have won chips. There are a LOT of variables that are involved with the success of a team and one player being responsible to 'carry' a team and not considering all the other variables is not a very defined thought process. The success of a team starts up top and the play on the of the players is at the bottom of that list. That's why the Spurs are such a great organization, their front office finds players who can fit Pops system and the shit is run beautifully. You look at the Knicks and the trash they put around him and tell me again how that is his fault. Phil is even fucking with Porzingas' game now so it's not just Melo. Melo is a first ballot HOFer and has before being involved with this clusterfuck had team success. A low percentage of superstar and star players win chips so him not winning one does not make him overrated....

Been telling cats for years dude is a white supramacist. All that Zen bullshit is just the sports version of buck breaking.
Fuck Phil. All this shit proves is the players made this motherfucker. Them and Tex Winter, what has his high hip having ass done without those too intangibles?

Dude, he should have won with a broken down D Rose who also lost in Chicago with Jimmy Butler, Courtney Lee (who?), and Porzingas, who is going to be good but is still a sophomore and had long stretches of minimal productivity?

Funny how you name 2 other players, one below average, one a shell of himself and the other one raw (probably just named them because they are the most recognizable on the team and you were reaching to try to support your narrative), but conveniently leave out the remaining misfits and bums on the team AND you keep tap dancing around Melo being forced to play in a system that is a polar opposite to his skill set (one which D Rose and others have bitched about as well)!?!?!

Oh, let's not forget about having to play for coaches who aren't actually allowed to coach but are basically put in seat because each team has to have a 'coach' on the floor....

You really need to stop because you are sounding desperate as hell and are making no sense but are too insecure to just say fuck it and take your intellectual loss so you will keep making a fool out of yourself trying to make hollow ass points that are embarrassingly easy to shit on.

That desperate attempt to bring my Sixers into the discussion when they have nothing to do with Melo obviously shows your feelings are hurt because you are making a fool out of yourself And keep getting shit on! Nobody is fooled Bruh, that lil weak ass bait and switch to deflect from the nonsense you keep typing ain't working. Just move on because you are making yourself look bad with the pathetic dumbass points you keep typing, trying to keep yourself from drowning! :giggle:

If *I* we Melo, I would also fill my Instagram with pics of me hanging out in different cities (Golden state, San Antonio, and of course Cleveland) to generate a buzz this summer.

@BrownTurd... need your input on something Bruh (try to stay on task with the question too, take off your dancing shoes). You keep parroting the weak ass non-substantiated rhetoric that Melo doesn't make a team better, and basically its his fault more than Phils and Management that the Knicks are in the condition they are in, and he's never had any success with any GM, so, here you go, in black and white. I'm interested to see how you will spin this (try hard not to deflect Bruh :D)

Denver Nuggets: 2003-2010 - Avg-48 wins (+26 wins Melo's first year), playoffs every year (Western Conference), one conference finals

NY Knicks: 2003-2010 - Avg-30 wins (1 playoff appearance)
w/Melo:2011-2017 - Avg- 35 wins (3 playoff appearance, one series win)

Melo's time with the Knicks
Knicks-Pre Phil years: Avg-42 wins (3 playoff appearances, one series win)
Knicks Phil years: Avg-27 wins (no playoff appearances)

Let me help you so you don't get lost or start rambling, need you to speak to THIS information Bruh :D

1. Denver: 26 game improvement his first year, Knicks: 13 game improvement his first full year
2. Denver: playoff every year, one conference finals
3. Knicks overall 5 wins per season improvement from the years before he got their (I'll address in a minute why that number isn't higher overall :D)
4. Knicks: 1 playoff appearance in the 8 years before he got there, 3 appearances and one series win in his first 3 seasons there
5. Knicks pre Phil average wins per season 42 (again, 3 playoff appearances, one series win)
6. Knicks during the Phil years, 27 playoff wins and no playoff appearances
7. Melo with the Knicks (15 GAMES PER SEASON MORE WINS AND DIDN'T MISS THE PLAYOFFS ONE TIME) in his first 3 Knick seasons prior to Phil signing (See # 3 :D)
8. During Phils tenure, the Knicks are actually averaging 3 wins less per season than the 8 years BEFORE Melo arrived.

So again, take you time and gather your thoughts and explain to the board how this is Melo's fault again (Courtney Lee and D Rose not withstanding)?

Let us not forget Phil did NOT just attack Melo....

he essentially emasculated his Coach and saying Hornachek doesn't know how to really coach this style

questioned players intelligence

and COMPLETELY absolved HIMSELF of any and ALL wrong doing

and took credit for EVERYTHING going well included the new popcorn being fresher and now using real butter.

All those stats and he has made it out the first round once his entire career.

Melo is one of my all time favorite players so no need to post these stats. I have and will Always respect Melo. No only does he have a great personality, despite all the BS he would always answer tough questions with class and dignity.

It is simply not working with Melo. He is never going to carry a team and make them better. Melo is a scorer and that is pretty much his skill set. He is about to be 33 years old soon. I agree with Phil, go finish your career winning a title. Go play for Washington or Boston. He'll go out west to the Clippers.
