and melo won most of those and he went to the playoffs every year in denver so he clearly isnt the problem

You know how good the West was at that time? The Nuggets won over 50 games the first year Iverson was there and almost missed the playoffs.

The bottom line is my Knicks will never win with Phil Jackson at the helm. If Carmelo does not waive his no trade clause( and I hope he doesn't) , my Knicks will either have to suck it up and everyone will have to commit to winning, or they will have to release Melo outright. Which means Dolan will have to pay the entire contract, and Melo will be able to sign anywhere he chooses for whatever money he wants. Either way, he gets his money and Phil will be to blame...both for the no trade clause in Melo's contract and fucking the team up royally! But my scenario gets better....Phil is going to continue to steal a check from the Knicks for the next two years. Once that time is over he'll be gone and Hornacek will be fired. Mark Jackson will be brought in as President of Basketball Operations, and after resurrecting the Georgetown program, Patrick Ewing will finally get his opportunity to become an NBA head coach. It may sound far fetched, but unfortunately when it comes to my beloved Knicks...far fetched ideas and scenarios are all we can look forward to.
Fam I left before this season's fuckery & it's probably the best sports related decision I made.
