People posting right now...how much money did you make today so far???? +

Thats whats up... Get your paper bruh.
How long you been drawing, how much you charge for this type of work...
Just curious.

Been drawing since I was 3. Been in business for over 13 years. I started my business when I was 21....I don't sell that much artwork really (if you're talking about paintings) I have sold a few things to BGOL members and local Houston folks...it varies. And I do some graphic design work from time to time. I've taken a break from thedogyears.com to look at printing options and outlets to sell my book.

damn. :smh: and i thought i was makin money from my reg job, lawn care work on the side, and sellin cds/dvds.

on my off days....i buy, fix, & sell computers. usually i buy them from people on craigslist or from the pawnshop for the low....upgrade em....and sell em back for sometimes 3 times as much as i paid for it. most of the time i try to find a family to sell it to that cant afford a high priced computer but is in need of one. i've found out that there are alot of black families that lack a computer in the home.

my regular job gets me around 52k/yr. im not married and dont have any kids (that i know of) to take care of, so i cant complain.

^^^^^^ Cool posts and all, but if you ain't careful bitches like that will end up causing you to LOSE A LOT OF MONEY. MONEY OVER BITCHES MY DUDE!!!!!!!

ANYBODY OWN A GAS STATION OUT HERE...:hmm:

THAT SEEMS LIKE A GOOD WAY TO GO SINCE THE PRICE OF GAS IS SO FUCKING HIGH !!! :smh::smh::smh:

:angry::angry::angry::angry::angry:

For real tho, I want to try to get into that. In my city the Arabs own just about all the Independent gas stations. They own the damn Drive thru's too ... Another thing I wanted to get into..:smh::smh::smh:

And I tried to partner up several times, They wont budge. Just tryin to see if anybody has an Idea of how much their income might be.. Or If It's worth the trouble.

Run a network of around 5,000 porn blogs and websites. So far today $127.42. Recession proof money.

Dj, Can you give me some tips on the porn blogs? I have a couple setup but not getting any revenue.

I have been doing the domain's parking thing, having same luck with the regular names, but my adult names are stagnate.

Thanx in advance.

Have made some pretty regular change with EBay Affiliate Script. Seen here:

How does this work ??

For the few who want the glasses i'm in clayton county,Ga and i can give you 50% off the frames and lenses.

Leroy Soup Nutz those frames you want are Drill Mounts and our company is real bitchy about taking outside frames like those but we have some that you might like in my store, but we dont sell Cartier, but i can give you the coupon and take it to one of our other location probably in Buckhead and see what you like there

BeatDownRecords that company probably paid $20 for those lenses and $65 for the frame, the mark up is ridiculous and people need glasses and contacts thats why i'm praying i pass this test Sunday and the next one in Nov. to start my own lab and tax people too

But i'll always show love to the BGOL Fam:dance:

McWaney, I posted those Cartier frames. You're in Clayton County, I'm in Fulton, close to downtown. Ain't nothing to take a ride, which store you work at? Also, is it only your location that doesn't sell Cartier? Would I find them at one of the other locations? Buckhead? Lemme know because I never needed glasses so these would be my first. I need the eye exam and all because I don't have a prescription yet.
Get back with me as soon as possible.

aside from my regular 8-5 im thinking about baking stuff on the side

with the rising cost of milk...eggs...flour i dunno how profitable it would be tho:smh:

i have a quesiton for the men here....what if anything would entice you to purchase a homemade good...aside from it being proclaimed as "homemade" or "taste really good"

Actually I got screwed big time when I first got into the business. My old boss sold me the rights to his contract for 75k. Which was only to booths at Six Flags Houston, I only bought out his existing contracts. Getting renewed each year after that was up to me. The booths didn't make that much money at first. But basically I started adding in new shops, (temporary tattoos, airbrush...you name it....) then I LOST MY CONTRACT! :smh::angry:
...After 10 years of slaving...but stayed on my hustle and opened up in new areas....Used the knowledge I had made from Six Flags plus the connections I had made in order to get into newer locations....

So far it's been good. I live debt free and save a good portion of my money for the rainy days ahead.....working vigorously on my retirement. My financial adviser says I could retire early if I did it right....

Being sold by pretty young ladies, or cute little kids.
I also make it a point to always support somebody's hustle. One time I was riding w/ my sister somewhere and we came to a stop light, turning lane to get on the highway, and this young nigga is on the median with a cooler full of water sellin 'em for $1 each, I said to my sister "support a hustler, support a hustler, support a hustler... pull over, hurry up!" I gave little man $5 for 2 waters. It starts young, gotta let 'em know that there are people who will support 'em. It's a beautiful hustle! Support the Grind!

it ain't that easy!! a business that has profit margins measured by the penny!! if you have a price 2 cents more than the competitor you will lose customers AUTOMATICALLY!! there are still some lazy people who gas up at the most conveniebt place, but they are far fewer than before!!

Fine woman and cute kids cant hurt like the other guy said. My mom sells cakes, pies, cookies even dinners every weekend. She has a customer base from her job which started with her taking cakes and shit up there and giving stuff away @ first...Shit caught on now she sells them to all her friends friends friends, etc.. Try taking a nice supply of your homegoods to local business like corner stores, gas stations places like that, It could catch on very fast If your lucky. They will probably want a cut, But @ least you see some money from It. Good Luck

Yeah getting fucked in the beginning Is almost a part of business

My bar cost me 120k sold to me be a Old lady whose husband owned/ran the place after he died. My only problem was, I didnt know shit about running a bar.:D So I didnt see my Investment back for quite some time.
I Studied some bar tending books while I went along, Cause I didnt have nothing to hire anybody with, After Inventory costs and utilities.. I was Broke..:smh:
Eventually I updated the bar with new furniture, Flat screens and a decent sound system. That attracted a new customer base, for the younger hip crowd. Now I'm the Bar that everybody goes to before the club or on the weeknights during the playoffs or whatever. The lawn care was the same deal, I bought all the equipment, and acted as If I knew anything about landscaping..Then sold my services around the neighborhood lower than anyone else. Once I got a lil profit, I hired some people who knew what to do. Fake It to you make It was In full effect.. The car wash was easy to do ...Anybody can wash cars. It is expensive as fuck tho.

Gotta support the hustlers, especially the Kids. Im about to run an ad for grass cutters for the summer to the Kids that are outta school for the summer. Then I can go find another 20 jobs to work.

Yeah I figured that, But I dont see any of these Independent owners struggling @ all. They seem to be making a grip right now. I was just curious. I looked some of the stations for sale in my area up, and It looks like waaaaaaaay more than I'm prepared to Invest anyway. Just wanted to see If anybody had an Idea as to what the turnaround was.

Shit not QQing tooo goood for me right now, But always wanna know what errrrrbody is up too, Maybe it's something out there i can venture into... :dunno:

This is a pretty valuable thread. A little advice to those of you trying to get into a business of your own.
1. Remember that when people are telling you about their businesses they very rarely discuss the downside/cons. There are cons in everything. I think it's human nature to make your situation sound atleast a little better than it really is.
2. Discount the money someone tells you they're making by ATLEAST 30%. Most people will exagerate there income as well (atleast a little).

I learned this shit the hard way years ago. I've done a few things on the side. ex. had 2 rental properties, bought and sold cars from dealer auctions, even pre paid legal in college. One thing I learned is that when you're being told about a business opportunity it always sounds a lot sweeter than it really is. There is always shit you're not hearing. Like when I had my rental property. Yeah I made money (not nearly as much as I thought) on the sale of the property, but there are a shit load of fuckin head aches associated with realestate investment that the so called real estate folks I talked to never really talked about not in any detail atleast. All I would hear was "oh, I made a killing on this and I made a ton of dough on that" half of that shit was either lies or exagerations. So my advice would be definitely understand that a lot of folks are exageraters and factor that in along with doing your own due diligence.

Everything you said goes without saying.
Anything worth having requires twice as much hard work. There are no free lunches.I think everybody In here knows this. As far as other peoples profits, I wont concern myself. If there are some exaggerations of income, so be It. It's not my money. It's just good to hear about other peoples hustles/ work ethic...Hopefully Everybody can find something In here that they can use to make them some extra bread, Ya dig ??

This thread is very imformative, I'm going to have to go back and read through it when I get a chance!
