This is a sort of logic that just doesn't compute in my mind. Perhaps someone can explain this to me:

What in the world would the Dems get my plicating to Trumps walls demand?

1) You give him the wall and you assure he's the POTUS for at least 6 more years...PERIOD!

2) You don't give him the wall then what is he going to do? He either has to try the shutdown bullshit again, declare a national emergency and deal with all that comes with that and/or kill that campaign promise.

So once more how in the world would it benefit the Dems to help Trump keep his promise? Especially when they can sit back, essentially, and watch him crumble helping the 2020 campaign?

BTW, The only possible logic I can see is someone saying "The Dems want to help those people suffering from the shutdown." My response: By empowering a monster?

There isn't going to be a "next time". The Shutdown tactic is over. The Republicans in the Senate aren't going to let it happen. They will not let a "fool's errand" ruin their political fortunes. The "Trump Base" didn't keep the house and even the Republican Senate victories were thin. Expect a new lie to placate the stupid. The Wall will be recast into something else. Just like Mexico paying for it disappeared into a new lie. The Wall will most likely become enhanced fencing and barriers and port security. The very things Dems already offered. Expect that to be Trumpetized into something of Bullshitt proportions for his faithful idiots. Then he can dangle the Wall dream a second time on the campaign trail to the hopelessly devoted cadre of crackers and coons who live in an alternate reality of Trumpdum.

We'll see. When it comes to politics and pretty much the real word in general Trump is stupid, make no mistake about that. With that being said it won't be up to him. The Moderate Republicans want this issue to go away and don't give a shit about a wall. See the Retradicans love wedge issues that keep the poor and middle-class feuding among themselves. In most cases, they have no intention of ever solving those issues. They just use them to win elections and pay lip service to them after they get elected. Abortion is a great example. It keeps broke ass ignorant evangelicals voting against their best interest year after year. If a candidate promises to overturn "Roe v Wade" the average Evangelical wouldn't care if that candidate broke in his house fucked his wife raw, helped himself to whatever is in his wallet and pissed in his favorite shoes on the way out.
