What is important is again the academy saw fit to not nominate one black person for an Oscar. Maybe there were no Oscar worth performances this year but what about the previous year?
My issue is they continue to seek and present movies that few if any can even remember seeing a trailer for and contains no minority actors or actresses. But the problem is even deeper than that. When we do get nominated or win an award look at the roles. We can win, if the roles revert back to slavery or our struggle. Maybe if we're in some servant type position but Hollywood can't accept a black actor in important lead rolls unless its for a comedy. The problem is the Academy! The problem is the members of the Academy. It couldn't be whiter if it were a KKK rally.
