The roadtrip went really well. Left around 7:30am on Tuesday of last week and got in around 11pm tonight (following Wednesday). Drove (bro/I) approx' 4500km over the course of 8 days. Car ran smoothly throughout and it was nice getting long stretches of driving on the I-5 and plenty of cheaper gas-ups compared to Canada (we pay alot more up here which sucks - so it was nice getting better pricing throughout the trip). Made it from the westcoast of Canada to Redding, California on day 1, and then into Anaheim on the Wednesday evening. Hit up the ol' Motel 6 in Redding on the way down & home, and spent 4 nights at the Super 8 in Cali' ... leaving us more money for eating out and shit and buying stuff (brought got clothes/gears/new 4th Gen' Ipod Touch, etc). I bought some shirts and gadgets/electronic chargers. Went to Disneyland all day on Thursday. Plenty busy in Anaheim as they get 60,000 daily at Disneyland, there were 14,800 for the UFC 121 event Saturday night, a good 4000 - 5000 at the autograph signings, Q&A and Weigh-Ins Friday morning/afternoon, and there was a gamers/tech convention for the Blizz game or company for 4 or 5 days that also drew 40,000 people in the area. Hit up Sacramento on the way down ... CAIN VELASQUEZ is the muthafuckin' man and he had the region / arena / outside the stadium hoppin' and on the way home. It was really cool seeing all the hype going in and the quiet confidence/sportsmanship shown by him and his team at AKA ... they believed in their guy as did the crowd, and people went in HOPING FOR THE BIG WIN AND HE DELIVERED AND WAS FIRING ON ALL CYLINDERS!! Big traffic jams / people honkin' and cheering all in the area / etc. Cameras and cameraphones buzzin' in the building that night. The DIEGO SANCHEZ / PAULO THIAGO fight was excellent. Great heart from Diego and Paulo and well-deserving of Fight of the Night. What a battle! Passed through San Fran' a few nights back and visited my dad's aunt (82yo - has been battling Multiple Sclerosis the past 10 years or so) in Seattle and had some nice meals out with her. Took her for seafood by the waterfront Tuesday and a nice Mexican lunch yesterday afternoon. Things went pretty smoothly throughout ... enjoyed the weigh-ins on Friday as well. Good shit.

Just posting this thread up early as the 3rd UFC PRIMETIME episode is coming mid-week, with the big heavyweight fight next weekend. Gonna be heading down there in person to check the event out with my brother, so we've got a shitload of driving ahead of us and are leaving this Tuesday morning to get down there by Wed' night or so. That way we can settle in ... catch the weigh-ins on Friday, and chill the whole day at the Honda Center from the mid-afternoon onward and watch all the fights (including the prelims). Looking forward to the fights ... and seeing Shields in his first Octagon appearance as well ...

Thanks, Younghustla. Yes - hopefully it delivers after weaker showings with UFC 119 and 120 of late.

I'm hoping for solid performances in the co-main events, as well as from Sanchez/Thiago and a handful of others. Should be a good event and boisterous crowd :yes:

Cain is good, but the reality is these cats are in two different weight classes. One is a heavy and the other is a super heavy, and with the talent level that Brock has............:itsawrap: After he took that pounding from roid boy, Lesnar showed he is a beast.

This Tread might make you think otherwise. I'm not saying he's going to loose, but Cain has way better TDD that those in the thread. If Brock can't get on top of Cain its a wrap. I know damn well he can't keep a 5 round pace with Cain either. Brock has to cut the speed away and take Cain down and pound him, if he can't he will get wore down and beat up.

I'm actually leaning towards Cain. It's a hard to imagine Brock losing, but if he does lose, it will be to someone he can't take down and keep down. Cain may be that guy.

Y'all already know who my cash is on. Too big, too strong, too powerful, his chin is fucking adamantium. Cain's best chance is surviving 5 rounds with Lesnar. And why do people think Brock will get tired? He's a wrestler they are the kings of stamina.

Going with Brock, Shields, & Hamill

I like Cain but the hype for this one sounds EXACTLY like the Carwin fight. And Brock won that one with ring rust. Cain has to catch him early and stay on him and don't gas out from doing it. I expect Brock to shoot immediately and then it's Game Over.

Yall can laugh if you want...but Brock used to work at a strong pace back when he was a pro wrestler and he had to work 20-30 minute matches often and that was when he had 30 extra pounds of muscle...and I think he looked well-conditioned in the fight with Herring...Cain's got better cardio but not by as much as ppl let on.


Cain's gonna need to Frankie Edgar Brock in this fight...just don't be a target...keep moving around...don't kick too much b/c that'll get him taken down. They say Cain's scrambling is excellent and Brock couldn't even keep Couture down.

Cain's striking is better but Brock hits harder and probably has a better chin.

I dunno....they're both great...but I'll say Cain pretty much dominates all areas of the fight until Lesnar connects with something and then he finishes with a TKO.


I also got Hammill stopping Tito and Shields getting a "boring" decision. And Diego with the upset!!!

Quite a few fighters im familiar with on this card.My team mate Jake Shields iis making his debut and another team mate Daniel Roberts is fighting a guy I used to train with when I first started(Mike Guymon).Mike isn't well known,but a beast.This should be a great fight.I think Jake will win this fight by submission.Kampman's only chance is to keep it on the feet and get a KO.Jake is relentless with his takedowns and IMO will finish Kampman early.I see Brock beating Cain by ground and pound.
