Re: OFFICIAL - STRIKEFORCE - Fedor Vs. Werdum - Saturday, June 26th, 2010 - San Jose,
fabricio werdum had been patient and plodding (typical BJJ style) with the other russian punchers, so it wasn't any surprise that he wanted the fight to go to the ground. nor was it any surprise that werdum fell into guard.
fedor is always very confident and willing to jump into an opponent's guard. he has made the mistake of leaving his arm "in" before, but has always been able to pull it out to avoid the arm bar and triangle.
does anyone think the only difference (and the "surprise" that werdum referenced in pre-fight interviews) between fedor's past fights and this loss is that fabricio werdum used fedor's glove to trap the arm?
