► OFFICIAL UFC Fight Night: Henderson vs. Khabilov - Saturday, June 7th - New Mexico

Re: ► OFFICIAL UFC Fight Night: Henderson vs. Khabilov - Saturday, June 7th - New Mex

Glad Benson won AND got the finish. I wanted to see him finish again just so mofos can stop complaining about his close decisions.

Re: ► OFFICIAL UFC Fight Night: Henderson vs. Khabilov - Saturday, June 7th - New Mex

You think so?

I like this cause it seems like more of a technical battle. Hendo sees him grimis when he kicks him so thats how i know he gonna start throwing them more and more.
Nope, a technical battle would have been them trading technicque for technique. That Rusky wasn't throwing hands or kicks, just countering Hendo's kicks with TDs and not going for subs or GnP on the ground. I'm glad he got choked out.

Re: ► OFFICIAL UFC Fight Night: Henderson vs. Khabilov - Saturday, June 7th - New Mex

Good shit hendo.

Bruh Hendo was blocking dude judo and countering his wrestling. Aint get thrown once.

Re: ► OFFICIAL UFC Fight Night: Henderson vs. Khabilov - Saturday, June 7th - New Mex

Bendo's first finish in the UFC, good job!!!

Re: ► OFFICIAL UFC Fight Night: Henderson vs. Khabilov - Saturday, June 7th - New Mex

The Russian ran out of gas. He has that style that is hard to sustain for 5 rounds.

He didn't get thrown, but he did get taken down repeatedly.

I saw it as a technical battle as well. Mostly Hendo coming forward and trying to get through dudes TD and judo that he used as defense. Putting that superior cardio to work. Dude just got lazy or tired and once he did Hendo showed what his tactic was from minute one who an amazing and blazing fast sub. Couldn't believe how quick he went from those strikes to having that arm wrapped around his neck. He had it locked in with one arm.

Re: ► OFFICIAL UFC Fight Night: Henderson vs. Khabilov - Saturday, June 7th - New Mex

He's a true P4P fighter. Amazing dude. Wanna see a rematch of him and Johnson., He landed the harder shots.

Agreed, man. Always fun to watch. Good skills across the board. Really looking forward to DODSON-JOHNSON II when it eventually happens.

Great finish

Agreed √

Well damn :eek:

So good to see Bendo get a late finish (4th round). He deserves it.

Glad Benson won AND got the finish. I wanted to see him finish again just so mofos can stop complaining about his close decisions.

Really digging these late finishes in fights, Theo. Johnson finishing off Moraga late in their fight in July 2013 ... TJ Dillashaw styling on one of the P4P best in Barao in late-May and finishing him off in the 5th ... Bendo keeping it interesting throughout tonight & stopping his opponent with hands & a sub in the 4th tonight. That's wassup.

Re: ► OFFICIAL UFC Fight Night: Henderson vs. Khabilov - Saturday, June 7th - New Mex

No doubt ... Henderson was smart in there. Didn't want to get highlight-reeled like Khabilov did to V' Pichel in their fight with the suplexes :D

In the co-main event of tonight's UFC Fight Night 42, Ross Pearson seemed to have fought his way to a clear cut decision win over Diego Sanchez. The judges cage side, however, seemed to disagree and awarded Sanchez a split decision win. (27-30, 30-27, 29-28).

The event took place in Sanchez's hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico and it definitely seemed like a hometown decision to those watching at home.

Of course, with any controversy, Twitter went crazy:

AshMeikle: 1 of the 160 family members that Diego Sanchez had coming to the event tonight/today was THAT judge. #UFCFightNight #MMA

@MMAJunkieDann: In fairness, media split on Sanchez-Pearson. And by 'split,' I mean just 11 of 12 scored it 30-27 for Pearson: http://mmadecisions.com/decision/5249/Diego-Sanchez-vs-Ross-Pearson

@ItsMikeFagan: Round-by-round stats from FightMetric. Spoiler: Ross outlands Diego in every round. pic.twitter.com/Qf8uU63bxZ

@NotoriousNewell: Diego is SO F'N AWESOME BUUUTTTTTTT.........when did punching someone in their arms score more points then punching someone in their head?

@ArielHelwani: Florian: "A 30-27 for Diego Sanchez? Those judges should be ashamed."

@dc_mma: Wait...... What! Diego won?

@UFConFOX: Diego Sanchez def. Ross Pearson via (hometown) split-decision 30-27, 27-30, 29-28. Pretty atrocious call IMO. #UFCFightNight

@LVFightShop: Um, what!!!!??? I love Diego. But, no way he won that.

@MMAdamMartin: Diego Sanchez wins a robbery decision. Is anyone surprised? 30-27 Sanchez is the worst card of the year. Absolutely sickening.

@JeremyBotter: That's a clear and easy 30-27 for Pearson. Which means Diego will take the split.

@BrianStann: Any demons I had were exorcised the night Diego Sanchez walked out with that cross for his fight, lets see what he does tonight

@MattMitrione: WORST DECISION EVER

@DuaneBangCom: What?

@CungLe185: I got to question that call. That is why they say never leave it in the judges hands.

@TJ_Grant: Worst Decision ever!!

@mmasarah: Omg how did 2 judges score that fight 30-27 Sanchez? That’s insane and one of the worst robberies. Poor Pearson #ufcfightnight

@Pit_Master: Those judges are complete blind retarded morons what a fucking disgrace...

Indeed. Finished TJ off in less than 2 minutes back at that TUF finale in Dec. 2011. That's what makes this sport so tough to predict (or bet on). That's why we love this shit.

Cats like Homonick will go 25 mins with ALDO, and then get clipped in 7 seconds by Jung.

Dodson will finish TJ off in 2 mins, and go 25 mins with the champ in Johnson.

Whereas TJ will style on Barao's ass for 22 - 23 mins, being an 8-1 underdog or whatever those odds were. No one saw that shit coming. They knew TJ would present some challenges, but shit ... against one of the P4P best in the world who had been unbeaten in 9+ years? The fuck?

:D:lol:

Right on, brother. Next UFC card is this coming Saturday (UFC 174) in Vancouver.

Re: ► OFFICIAL UFC Fight Night: Henderson vs. Khabilov - Saturday, June 7th - New Mex

Demetrius Johnson is the man to beat right now. This Russian cat looks huge for 125, so I'm not sure he can keep the pace for 25 min. Also factor in that the Russian style of wrestling is based on throws which is more labor intensive that the Merican style which is more about the PIN. I just don't see how he wins this fight after 3 rounds. I see Dj moving too fast getting under his punches and getting the double leg and draining his gas tank before he can land a big punch. However one thing that i caught Dj saying is that he wants to knock out more people. Rashad fell in love with knocking people out, then we got the shad face for his troubles. I hope Dj just goes after the WIN and the (T)ko or submission will come when it comes.

Yeah - gonna be interesting watching this one play out, MK. Bagautinov has been training with DODSON in New Mexico at Jackson's ... and DODSON went 25 mins with the champ JOHNSON last year & he's (Dodson) angling for his own rematch with Johnson at some point, and has noted he would compete against Bagautinov if he pulled off the upset.

Word life...Im looking fwd to seeing St Preux vs Jimmo. Jimmo always impresses me and I wanna see if SP can build on that last win when he choked dude out something awful :smh::yes:

Re: ► OFFICIAL UFC Fight Night: Henderson vs. Khabilov - Saturday, June 7th - New Mex

Man, I want Woodley to beat this fuckin douche bag so bad it's a crime. :please:

MFH - Not sure where I stand on this one. Gotta cheer for the fellow Canadian and all ... but he isn't delivering like he's capable of. The Rory that's fun to watch is the one who competed against CONDIT, DIAZ, and PENN. Not the tentativeness he's shown in other fights like the ones with LAWLER, ELLENBERGER & others. We don't want to watch someone jab for 15 mins. As for WOODLEY ... becoming a much bigger fan of his in recent years. He was more of a "boring wrestler" back in his Strikeforce days, capped off by that bad knockout loss to Marquardt. But shit ... in the UFC? He's highlight-reeling people like HIERON, KOSCHECK, and CONDIT. Much confidence in his speed & punching power. That's wassup! Plus ... changing one's nickname from "The Waterboy" to "Ares" and adopting the hipster douchebag look hasn't won any cool points for the Canadian.

I think Woodley puts out a win, but McDonald is tricky. His stand-up is better than Woodley's but Woodley's wrestling is supreme. Should be a good fight.

:lol::lol:

Jimmo dapped him, knocked him RIGHT out, then hit him with :dance::lol:

That dudes face after he got knocked the fuck out
:smh::itsawrap:

Yeah - that shit caught us all off-guard. He was known for being mad BORING over in the MFC ... and he comes over to the UFC ... and blasts Anthony Perosh in 6 or 7 seconds and styles on him with the post-fight celebration in front of those Calgary, AB fans. People were like - "He's known for being boring?"

:lol:
