Official NBA 2016-2017 Thread - 30 teams, 1 goal. 2 weeks left, so much can happen!!

Yup. Was about to type the same shit. Just because it comes out during adversity doesnt mean it isnt a legitimate issue.

The bigger issue with the Cavs is they dont have a backup ball handler (no homo). They gonna have to trade for a reserve PG before the deadline. Trade Shump for one... 2 birds one stone.

Yep... also, if you look at the Cavs, AND THEY ARE THE DEFENDING CHAMPS FOR A REASON, they really don't have much length or athleticism (functional). Bucks gave them problems because of their length, and the Clippers are playing well so...
Now the bulls game, that game was troubling more than the other two blowouts IMO.

While I still see them coming out of the east, may not be a cakewalk, and as much as they won the chip last year, it took a perfect storm of suspensions and other factors to help them (they earned it though).

With GS adding KD, and seemingly finding their groove, might be a problem for them come finals if both teams make it there unless moves are made. GS is on paper perfectly put together to beat them...

Damn... Da Fucks going on with Cleveland? 3 Straight L's, with 2 good down home country ass whippings out of the 3?!?!? Rondo with a Triple double?!?!?! A lot of holes being exposed with them motherfuckers right now?
People didn't want to listen to me but I have been saying all year that the Cavs have been struggling. Turd you tripping because they 6-0 or only loss two games.

I was like Naw man these cats really struggling as they were in close games with some weak ass teams.

They could easily be a 500 or below 500 team if not for the refs or hero ball down the stretch from Kyrie and Lebron. the two sixers game could have been losses. The raptors, Boston and Orlando.

Now the Raptors I expect a tight game but the rest of those teams it should not have been that way. You could see this losing streak a mile away.

I still think they are the best team in the east simply because of the LeBron factor, but you're right. My Sixers are one of the worst teams in the league, and that game when they beat us by 1 was straight up robbery for he last 4 minutes. I really believe they should have made some more solid moves in the off season, and this season come the playoffs Lue is really going to have to coach. While LeBron is still LeBron, he's getting older and the rest of the league is starting to catch up. Outside of him, Kyrie and by extension Love, and with Tristan doing the dirty work, they really don't get regular consistent support from anyone else... Winning the chip the way that they did may be a blessing and a curse because it appears that they had an if it ain't broke don't fix it approach to improving the team, and that shit may come back to haunt them...

I see Mrs. James showed up with hair rollers and slippers on rolling her neck all sassy... Y'all better stop talking about her Man's team like that... she's ain't having it! :roflmao3:

Man your right I have kool with mike Dun coming because the jr situation wasn't a sure thing. Adding Birdman really ain't helping the post problems. Birdman really don't protect the lane, but he's a fan favorite and a body...
Since preseason I been saying I expect a move.

They should see about Noel, or one of the kings many backup centers for McRae...

They missing TMo right now

Yep, TMo as a body would have helped because he's active. I don't think the Cavs have anything we would want in exchange for Noel frankly. All of the pieces that would make sense they aren't parting with, and if you look up and down that roster, after 6-7 its thin as fuck...

Cavs have no cap space for those players

What do you think it would take for the Sixers to trade Noel?

Dude that was over the off season... nobody is interested in that Dude anymore. Shit was discussed locally a few weeks ago...

So you think I don't know that?

How you coming at me like I'm new to this shit?
Do you realize what Mack and myself was talking about?

I know that...that's why they was looking to move Shum, Jordan and Mo Williams

Cavs really short handed themselves with alot of those signings; TT is worthless if he isnt getting boards; @Mask nobody wants Mo, Jordan, or Shump; those are not tradeable assets; and teams are not going to give up valuable players for those players; I think they are stuck with the team they have and just gonna have to make do; they better pray Irving doesnt go down; Love going down would hurt but only against the better teams; I honestly still dont see anyone beating them in the east right now; And I think the Cavs knows that...

The Cavs trying to get a draft pick,

Man either star going down will force Bron to do him...

It would force them to strap the offense to a degree and play better defense and limit the tempo...

Which they thrives at the last to finals, they don't like doing that but what else they gonna do.

Problem with LeBron doing him, is the gauntlet is much more difficult now than 2 years ago. Toronto has improved, Chicago, if their 3 are playing well are a problem, and I like the Bucks to give them problems simply because they are long, athletic an the Greek Freak is an underrated all around stud. There isn't enough support for them to win with LeBron having to do him, which is what is so troubling about them not trying to fill holes in the off season. An underrated loss too, and some of you may laugh is Delly! Dude was an average player, but he had heart, played hard and did the dirty shit that literally no backcourt player they have now is willing to do. You knew what you were getting from him each night... not so much with any guard outside of Kyrie, if he's healthy...

disagree about the Giannis...that fucker ain't underrated

Delly play is missed and they could use him, but I think the bigger problem lies with overall energy, the wing players have to be better at defending the drives...

They just need two plyers to apply energy...Lebron is the first and second will follow

Man no one "smart" is giving up a draft pic for them players; well let me take that back; you never know what these idiot GMs be thinking:giggle:; but if Irving went down, forget it; I dont think they would come out of the east; and I definitely dont think they would beat anyone out west; It would be Bron playing by himself; And there offense is a drive and kick type of offense; which takes a lot out of players; All these teams would do is force LBJ to take all the shots, and neutralize everyone else; And all this we saying is at the beginning of the season; what happens when those legs are tired from all these players that are barely contributing now..

He is until he's on somebody's all NBA 1st team bruh. I think he's that type of talent...

They need more than just energy players. They need skill players man. Skill players at the win and off the bench. How much further can you really go with 47 year old Richard Jefferson getting major burn, and Shump pulled a Jeremy Lin on these fools... Had a good rookie year in NY before he got hurt, and has been bum sauce every since..

I disagree with you bruh, I'd give a mid 3rd round pick for williams or shumpert...

Only what 15 players make all nba team...so ummm ok

Shit Shum and Jefferson been ok...shit it's probably the system more than the players but Lebron's dictated scheme is drive & kick vs no stop motion(which they do ain't times and it works, mainly outta timeouts)

We know they gonna figure it out, just been so very happy times of late...

All this been some team events...

Halloween parties
TT and Khloe
World Series
Ohio State vs Michigan

Normally teams have event like this to break bad vibes these fuckers been parting like its 1999. So like Bron said after the 3 game skid, "The Honeymoon is over"

Lue should throw Jordan in there more with the second unit just to provide that scoring spark that missing...

They not doing anything that any other team(s) aint doing; that shit is overstated; Cavs feel that no team out east can beat them so thats how they play; They also know its early in the season and no need to panic; And I agree no team in the east, at this moment, is beating them in a series; now if some team makes a trade or an injury occurs to the Cavs then thats a different story...

and I frankly would have trouble naming 15 players overall that I think are better than him now, and based on potential.... Thus that is why I feel he's underrated...

Not sure they are going to figure this out though Bruh. LeBron, is a given, He's going to give you the numbers and the all around play. You can set you watch to it... Kyrie, while improving, is not a guarantee especially healthwise... Love... :hmm:

If you are relying on Shump and Jefferson to be key contributors for a second straight season when the rest of your roster is as thin as theirs is, you failed as a GM in the off season IMO....
