Official NBA 2016-2017 Thread - 30 teams, 1 goal. 2 weeks left, so much can happen!!

Barley sounds like an idiot basing his entire argument on salary .... That has nothing to do with production or team make up. Not to mention he defending a fucking billionaire who helped create that crippling cap and tax rule.
Gilbert knows Lebron has no leverage because he doesn't have a opt out

He is standing pat

Lebron bout to get fucked again

Fool me once shame on you

Fool me twice...

One things for sure...hardly ever heard Jordan bitch and whine like a pussy about needing help during his prime run to GOAT status with the Bulls... Just did what he had to do when it needed to be done on the way to 6-0 and 6 Finals MVPs.... He had heart and pride unlike some other people and did what he had to do...

Jordan will always be >>>>>>

As far as Gilbert and LeBeon go, You have to draw a line in the sand at some point. He's basically given LeBron carte blanche over the makeup of this team from day one, but at a point you've got to do whats best for you....

LeBron isn't signed long term, and is in the last days of his prime. He lets LeBron continue to dictate shit, high salary after high salary, JUST so he can get his last few rings, or at least try to, in a year or two it doesn't happen and LeBron leaves to go to another team, while Gilbert is stuck with the trash he convinced him to sign....

They already have the biggest payroll in the league and Dude is paying a helluva luxury tax. The moves that LEBRON has made haven't worked out for him... it is what it is. This isn't a damn pre-school chemistry set where you try something and if it doesn't work you go back to Toys R Us and get another set, this is millions and millions of dollars, which Gilbert has already spent.

I fucking HATE Gilbert and in no way am I caping but it is what it is.... You've got to draw a line in the sand at this point. LeBron is singing for short ass contracts to give himself and out, yet he wants Gilbert to commit millions in long term money so he MIGHT be able to get another ring or too in the next few years... Fuck that... :hmm:

The thing is I don't even think Gilbert has drawn a line yet. It's funny everyone said that the Cavs couldn't make any fucking moves because of cap space now it's Gilbert not wanting to spend.

You admit you hate Gilbert, but at least you don't let that hate blind you.

Exactly

I take what you say more seriously as an authentic Cavs fan

Folks acting like Gilbert pulled a Mark Cuban. People outside of Cleveland don't like him, so now it's his fault that he is paying so much fucking money that the Cavs can't make any fucking moves. :smh:

Shit man Gilbert has broke bread

He spent the money Cuban wasn't willing to keep what he could of thr championship team together

They lost a little but with damn near every team having cap space y'all weren't going to be able to keep everyone

Lebron crying to the media about needed players like the front office hasn't been doing what he wants

There are backup PGs to be had before the trade deadline and I'm sure y'all will get one

It ain't gonna be a allstar but it's some solid guys wasting away on teams shit y'all could use Deron Williams y'all can have his bum ass. Washed up ass nigga needs to be a backup at this point I'm tired of looking at him. Coming to Dallas when he's washed just like everyone else. Fuck him.

Charles Shackleford while playing for the then-New Jersey Nets.
Former NBA player Charles Shackleford, who famously referred to himself as "amphibious" instead of ambidextrous while at North Carolina State, was found dead in his Kinston, N.C. home on Friday, police said. He was 50 years old.

Kinston police are investigating, as a cause of death has not been determined.

Shackleford, who stood at 6-foot-10, played for the Wolfpack from 1985-1988 and was known for his rebounding. After a game, he told a reporter: "I can shoot with my left hand. I can shoot with my right hand. I'm amphibious."

"Shack" was seleted by the Nets in the second round of the 1988 draft and spent six seasons in the NBA — also playing for the 76ers, Timberwolves and Hornets — as well as European leagues

After retiring in 2000, Shackleford found himself in trouble with the law numerous times. In 2006, he was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon and drug possession. In 2010, Shackleford rear-ended a car, then told cops he was Jayson Williams; about six months later he was arrested for selling prescription

Lebron just out trying to give talking points for the season because there needs to be more storylines. Lebron "whining" and Cavs losing 6 of 8.........all staged.

IF Lebron was actually able to put the Banana Boat Boys together...

could a team with Lebron, Melo, Chris Paul and Dwayne Wayne plus pieces

wade9s-1-web.jpg

coached by Ty Lue

BEAT the Warriors

in a 7 game series?

Don't think so fam.... Just because players are great in their own right doesn't mean they fit. Also, what real pieces could you put together after you get done paying these Dudes?

All of these Dudes need the ball in their hands to be effective. Wade and LeBron were able to make it work because Bosh agreed to take a back seat...

The only one out of these guys whos game adapts well to a ball movement type of game AND is equally effective with or without the ball is LeBron, who is the most versatile player in the world...

Their respective skillsets take away from each other in my opinion, and defense would be at a premium with these Dudes...

When the hell did Nene become a Rocket? Dude slimmed down and actually looks like he has some athleticism.

Sidenote: Sixers starting lineup is suspect. Is that who they've been winning games with? Or are there injuries?

My squad accounted themselves great in their first national exposure in over 4 years, playing tough against one of the top 3-4 teams in the league while the probably MVP damn near dropped 50 on us! We are on the come up (Embiid with 32 pts in 28 mins... Kid is a fucking beast!!!), we are gonna be all right!!!

Glad we took the L though, we need to pull up on these W's a bit so we don't fuck up our draft position!

Cleveland won tonight so that means you posed to shut the fuck up. Sixers wont never be shit in the LeBron Era.

I'm sold on Embiid, he's putting up quality numbers in limited minutes. He should have made the All Star.

i disagree. he's good but it's not fair to a dude who might have comparable numbers and has to be out there every night as opposed to a guy who ain't gonna play back to backs and is not going to play more than 30 minutes.
its not a knock on embid he's legit.
