He gets his rest and isn't playing that hard this year, true his body will break down, but this road trip is not the result of him being tired or growing old.
I think he is doing what Magic and even Jordan did twoards the end of their careers that is pace himself so that he can have his legs come playoffs time, but then again LeBron has always done this.
