Official iZombie Discussion Thread (Tuesdays 9 pm EST)

I really think we need to rank ALL of the superhero shows on TV right now...

it is gonna be DAMN hard for izombie NOT to be in my top 2.

Does she rank as a superhero? But I agree... I think right now she is behind Flash but above Agents of Shield slightly. izombie is just a dream different animal. The fucking writing on this show man. That shit is just epic.

She got powers and fights crime...

done.

hold on...

what was Major signalling with his fingers to live during the prison conversation?

Shouldn't Liv had bled in Clive's apartment?

I liked them as a couple but I never liked how Clive and his Becky never REALLY got affection...no really huggy kissy stuff and it kinda made me never get invested with them, they were more buddy buddy.

But she was a good actress, hope they bring her back.

Ummm...

why aint Drake just scratch one of the lab techs while they lackadaisically walked him by his neck?

So Liv really couldn't have just had a brain smoothie in her hand while she walked Major to Ravi's car?

She heals extremely fast when she zombies up.

I also hope they bring the chick back.... I really liked their relationship. I think what you are talking about the lack of affection part and that's probably because most of their scenes showed them at the job and the show has made a very real effort of showing that Clive is completely by the book.

I'm pretty sure Drake realized that that wouldn't have stopped them from experimenting on the rest. He was too much of the hero.

So Liv really couldn't have just had a brain smoothie in her hand while she walked Major to Ravi's car?

You just had to ignore that part and suspend belief.

Ok what was the deal with Don E. wanting the dude to shoot him in the head and NOT the body?

Isn't he a zombie?

And where is his body?

So basically if they DIDN'T listen to Clive in the first place and just cut the brother's hand off this all wouldn't have happened?

Blaine was SURE acting like the OLD Blaine we know and love to hate by the end there wasn't he?

I'm thinking this cure is better then we ALL thought and that may be a gift and a curse.

And kind Ravi get ONE damn win? F*CK

I think Don E. saw that dude didn't have the balls to shoot him in the head and when he saw that.... He egged dude on knowing that he would heal from any other wound.

I do think at first... Don E. said fuck it and just wanted it to end and not be tortured.

Don E. is still alive or undead and kicking... he will be back

I got iZombie as my #3 comic book show behind Flash and Agents of Shield.

I'm going to have to download the comic book to see,how different it is from the show.

iZombie won’t be back in our lives until 2017, but star Rose McIver can already say one thing with certainty as we head towards Season 3: “No one wants to get cast as Liv’s love interest. They know where they’re going.”

McIver was, of course, alluding to Lowell (played by Bradley James) and Drake (Greg Finley) — her Season 1 and Season 2 boyfriends, both of whom are now six feet under — when TVLine spoke with her at The CW’s Upfront last week. But what about Major (Robert Buckley), the only one of Liv’s ex-boyfriends left standing?

“I love that they’re friends first,” she said of the former (for now) couple. “They’ve been able to stand by each other through thick and thin.” That said, also McIver admitted, “It’s a really complicated thing — she’s grieving two dead boyfriends. It’s not that easy to jump straight back in with Major. I think they’re really great for each other, and … they love each other.”

But don’t shed too many tears over Liv’s tragic love life; McIver would prefer that you pass your sympathy along to her partner in crime(fighting):

“I was devastated by Drake passing away, but I was equally devastated by Clive Babineaux and his longtime love Dale Bozzio’s breakup,” she confessed. “I just want Babineaux to be happy — bloody Liv, ruining everything by being a zombie.”

Hit PLAY on the video above for our full interview with McIver, which includes a Major tease about Season 3, then drop a comment with your own hopes for iZombie‘s future.

iZombie Getting A Zombie Speakeasy In Season 3

The big reveal in the Season 2 finale of iZombie came at the very end when Vivian Stoll (played by Andrea Savage), the CEO of Fillmore-Graves Enterprises and Max Rager, tells Liv that she too is zombie, her employees are zombies, and she wants to make Seattle a safe haven for zombies. Well, if all these zombies are headed to Seattle, where are all of them going to hang out?

“The number of zombies in Seattle is going up at an alarming rate, and it’s high time someone capitalized on the undead’s desire to socialize with their own kind,” showrunnerRob Thomas told EW. “We originally named the establishment Coldcock’s, but apparently that’s the name of a brand of booze, so we settled on our second choice, The Scratching Post. It’s a speakeasy where one needs to be able to eat a ghost pepper without flinching to be allowed in, but once inside, brains and hot sauces from around the world are available for the discriminating zombie.”

Below, check concept art of The Scratching Post.

iZombie is based upon characters created by Chris Roberson and Michael Allred for Vertigo from DC Entertainment. The series was developed for television by Thomas and Ruggiero-Wright, who executive produce along with Danielle Stokdyk (Veronica Mars, Party Down) and Dan Etheridge (Veronica Mars, Party Down). iZombie is produced by Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Spondoolie Productions and Warner Bros. Television.

The show stars Rose McIver (Once Upon a Time, Masters of Sex) as Liv Moore, Malcolm Goodwin (Breakout Kings) as Detective Clive Babinaux, Rahul Kohli (Eastenders) as Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti, Robert Buckley (One Tree Hill) as Major Lilywhite, and David Anders (Once Upon a Time, The Vampire Diaries) as Blaine "DeBeers" McDonough.

The 13-episode third season of iZombie is currently slated for midseason premiere.
