Paris Saint-Germain have announced the signing of Thiago Silva from AC Milan on a five-year deal.

• Berlusconi: Duo to join PSG

The news follows Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi's announcement that he had agreed to sell both Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic to PSG.

The Brazil centre-back's agent, Paulo Toniello, had indicated on Saturday morning that the transfer was still "far from" complete, but terms were agreed later in the day and the move has now been finalised.

A statement on PSG's official website read: "Thiago Silva, 27 years old, Brazilian international, from AC Milan, has this Saturday signed with Paris Saint-Germain for five seasons."

Milan also confirmed the news on their official website: "AC Milan announces that it has sold Thiago Silva to PSG."

The deal to take Ibrahimovic to Paris, though, has yet to be agreed, with the player reportedly eager to secure a salary in the region of €14 million a year.

His agent, Mino Raiola, denied on Saturday that the Sweden striker had arrived at the club to undergo a medical and indicated that talks were still ongoing.

"He is not in Paris to pass his medical," he told the media. "We will continue to work and give a press conference when everything is settled."

PSG confirm Ibra capture

Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed the signing of Zlatan Ibrahimovic from AC Milan on a three-year contract.

PSG sporting director Leonardo announced on Tuesday the deal was on the verge of completion and, on Wednesday, Ibrahimovic was unveiled at a press conference.

It is reported that the Sweden international will earn €13 million-per-annum, with his arrival following that of former Milan team-mate Thiago Silva in a combined deal worth €65 million.

"It's a big step in my career and another dream come true," said Ibrahimovic, who scored 42 goals in 61 appearances in two seasons at San Siro.

"I am very happy because it's a project that I want to be involved in. I want to be part of the history of the club. I'm here to win and nothing else. I'm pretty sure we can do it and we'll enjoy all the trophies we bring home."

Leonardo added: "A person, not only a player, like Zlatan gives our club the opportunity to grow. It's the reason why I think he's the perfect signing."

PSG have also sealed the signature of Pescara midfielder Marco Verratti, with the Italian inking a five-year contract at Parc des Princes.

"The players here are great champions," Verratti, 19, said at a press conference. "I've seen them on television and now I'm training with them. It gives me a huge desire to do well here.

"It doesn't happen every day that a young player can join a great club like this. I'll do my best to repay PSG's faith in me."

Love the accuracy..he's still got it

This might have nothing to do with it but was just wondering this evening.
How come everyone's in on Beckham but not on Thiery "T T" Henry?
Beckham is on all the news, the talk shows and all but never saw "T T" on any talk show yet? Or I missed it/them? Of course am a Gunner so the bias is omni-present :D:yes::D:yes:

Henry despises journalists in the US and the expectation that he has to talk to any of them.

Cool as hell. There's a guy who truly understands marketing.

Team GB dominating the first half. Senegal sitting back and defending.

Hope they open up in the 2nd.

Senegal might be the actual dark horse in this one. The opening 20 mins against Uruguay proved they can do it.

They just need to play ball, and stop fouling everything that moves.

This boy Mane oozes class.

My man Sebi Salaazar caught up with Ibra on the exit of the rain delay... Harsh words for Milan.:lol:
