Ruined a perfectly good contest.![]()
Couldn't agree more...United bossed us for the first 30 and we basically returned the favor for the next 30. I haven't a single qualm w/Ivanovic's red and thought the match had the potential to be one of the best matches of the season, even if it was 10 verse 11. I definitely don't believe that United are cheats, or that Clattenburg is a "United ref", but I was just left with a really bad taste in my mouth by this loss. I wouldn't say the better team lost or won today, b/c it wasn't left to the two squads to decide between themselves.
NBC secures English Premier League soccer rights

I'd read that Fox/ESPN were out of the running and that NBC were the front runners. Just happy that BEIN Sports didn't get the rights. I'm on Comcast and we only get the Spanish BEIN Sports feed (in SD) and it's absolutely horrible. The Spanish feed doesn't broadcast Ligue 1 matches and rarely if ever features live SerieA matches...LaLiga gets priority, even the non-marquee squads. I'm mainly a BPL fan, but last season would watch 2-4 LaLiga/SerieA matches each weekend, but w/the tape delays and other issues haven't watched more than 2 or 3 matches all season. Sucks even more b/c I've been wanting to watch Ligue1 matches for years.
Do I even dare wonder who'll be doing commentary pre- or post-game? Should I even ask?![]()
NBC's number one guy seems to be Kyle Martino and the thought of him calling my beloved Chelsea's matches just makes me cringe. Never liked the guy, and was was overjoyed when that poor attempt of a futball show of FSC was cancelled along w/him leaving the network. Praying that they just pick up the SkySports feeds and wouldn't be against a mass exodus of pundits from ESPN (Ian Darke & Steve McManaman) and FSC (Rob Stone, Warren Barton, Eric Wynald, and the other dude) to Fox.
