No, you'd be at over $800k USD
No, as of right now $1,000 gets you about 121,553 XRP
multiply that by $5 it's $607,765.00 USD

Whoever was thinking about opening an account with coinbase.com
Here is a coupon. You will get a free $10 bitcoin (partial)
So will I

I buy ETH from them, so far I own 11 Coins
Just brainstorming again...
Question, what if a major internet company like Amazon or Alibaba (China), started accepting digital currency ???
Bitcoin ???
Or Ripple ???
Or something else ???
Would that pretty much "bust it open", and cause the coin price to skyrocket (maybe b/c of increased demand) ???
Seems like theres a lot of untapped potential in this cryptocurrency market

Yeah I'm reading by using the Gyft app or card. So that's cool too. I don't mind that one step. As long as it's a work around to use coin to purchase normal things.Nah with Amazon, I think you can only buy their amzon gift card with bitcoin, then use the gift card to buy something on their website
They dont do direct bitcoin transactions yet
At least I dont remember seeing it yet
Man I feel like there is so much potential to make money with Bitcoin or altcoin trading
I just dont know how to do it yet
Seems like the cryptocurrency market is more volatile than the stock market, which means more potential to make money (or lose money if you're not careful)
Just a simple $50 a day adds up
$50 × 30 days == $1,500 dollars profit a month
You just need to know when to anticipate which currencies are going up, when to ride the wave, and when to jump off the wave
I feel like something might pop off shortly after Inauguration Day
Seems like every time Trumps opens his mouth & says something stupid, or tweets something stupid, the market goes crazy
We just have to be ready
It is but technically a financial advisor wouldn't state this as being an investment instrument is why I said that.
This is just like hedging some of your money into buying gold coins and having them delivered to your doorstep. If you sold them later, who's going to tax you on it. Why would there be any tax liability if you bought it with post tax dollars. In regards to the other question.
It's what the tax code stated above if they consider it a currency. I posted a link a few posts back about it.thanks for breaking it down...so ultimately if this pans out we wouldn't have to pay taxes on it?
Once coinbase adopts it though? done deal.
I know I'm just rambling but...
I know everyine is waiting for ripple to "pop" BUT the thing is, it already "popped"
I was looking at charts last night, and about 2-2.5 years ago it was kinda high
I think it was at around .25 - .30 cent
But then the company founder/owner sold off a bunch if his ripple, which increased the supply, which caused the price to drop all the way down to where it is right now
Soooo, when this takes off again, whos to say that the founder/owner/banks wont do the same thing again, as a way to control the price of the ripple currency?
I think you may have misinterpreted w/e chart it was...ripple was @ a high of 5-6 cents...and I sincerely doubt that was a ploy to control the value of ripple currency

it'd be a great sign if/when they do
Youre looking at the wrong market my dude. Btc is a currency, not a stockIs there a reason why people are not buying the stock under BTCS instead. It's going for $.0024 cents a share. Or is this something different
Oops yea I think I was wrong with my numbers
I was looking at the chart from...
https://www.worldcoinindex.com/coin/ripple
When you click on the tab "all", it shows a chart for the last 2 years
Looks like 2 years ago it was at .025, not .25
LSN, which website is that chart from?
It gives more info than the one I was looking at
...you can also see it on this chart...choose 'range: max'
https://charts.ripple.com/#/markets...zP3Aw4Eubs59B?interval=3d&range=max&type=line
Just got a call from Citi. Apparently someone from the UK tried to call Citi and change information on my Citi Prestige card (same card i used for Changelly). They also tried to figure out my credit limit and tried to "reset" my credit card pin. Needless to say, Citi is expediting me a new card. Changelly is shady, beware.

is this after you made a successful purchase thru them or did you have a failed attempt
All 5 payments have been successfully. Its not like they called to "verify". They called to change stuff on my account. Even my mailing address LMAO.
no...the only reason I'm asking is my attempts failed so they shouldn't have any record of my cc...I'm actually glad now it didn't go thru...I'm sticking w/ coinbase and kraken for the most part...I wanted to spread my shit around to other places but I'm still wary...if I had to make it a rule of thumb I'd stick to US/UK sites...plus a recent top 40 was mentioned...I'd stick to the top 5/10 tho

I need to figure out how to use coinbase. Kraken doesnt work for NY'ers.
right now coinbase is only good for buying bitcoins and sending them to wherever to exchange them for XRP...then if XRP bubbles...you can convert it back to bitcoins and send it to coinbase and deposit it in your bank as US cash...but you can't do anything directly w/ ripples w/ coinbase
