{~}Official 2022-2023 NBA Thread - it’s that time again, this thread coming to a end

I'm thinking more about getting his body right than his skill
I see a serious injury waiting to happen, the’s too frail man. If he was strictly a wing player, it would be less dangerous and his size would be less of a disadvantage (KD). he also likes to be down low blocking shots and dunking…..

I really hope I’m wrong man

You don't think he needs to put some muscle on ?
The dude is being thrown around in summer league….I can’t wait for season to start just for this shit
He definitely needs to become much tougher. His ability to sustain impact and absorb contact is his biggest flaw in my opinion. But remember he's only 19 and the physicians in France who have been following him since he was a kid say he's not mature yet physically. I'm not strength and condition specialist so I'll rely on their opinion.

And the near ten years age and NBA experience... Yes, its a very significant size and hierarchical difference.

You know what they call a 30 lb difference in any sanctioned fight in America? Illegal.

There’s a huge difference between staging a professional fight and impunity whilst cruising for a bruising.

I have never been above someone hierarchically and experienced them talking shit about my pay and my job being in jeopardy. You can’t play those cards and cry hierarchy.

Shaq swung on Kobe and I wouldn’t have faulted Shaq if he connected. The idea that smaller guys can be as disrespectful as they want to be and bigger guys just have to take it doesn’t seem fair. There is a breaking point. Especially when it is just a two inch height difference and a couple dozen pounds.

I don’t justify Draymond’s reaction— emphasis on reaction, not action— but I don’t think it is fair to vilify it! When I hear what Poole allegedly said and watch that tape, I do not see him as a victim.

The fundamentals are the same. And that fundamental point is 30lbs weight advantage is dangerous and potentially deadly in any combat battle.

Hierarchy exists whether you cry it or not.. Aso, lockerroom (and workplace) dynamics are real things. Draymond is an established star and team leader. That matters.

Surprised a powder puff pacifist like you is adhering to such caveman rhetoric.. Anyway, Poole aint Kobe...when he and Shaq got physical both were team and lockroom alphas fighting for control of that team.. and anyone saying a few inches and 35 lbs is "just" a nonconsequential difference has never engaged in violence. You sound fucking ridiculous.

Seems to me JP saw himself as an alpha.

Scoreboard don’t lie… What was Poole set to be paid as opposed to Draymond? GS stupidly valued JP over DG at that point and that’s what the alleged basis of his taunts were. You’re right that JP ain’t Kobe but he thought he was and his alleged statements were wannabe alpha shit.

I just looked it up an Shaq was making double what Kobe did when they were on the same team! JP, wildly, was valued above DG and acting like it.

You can’t justify Shay’s actions and condemn Draymond. The size disparity was bigger and Shaq was a clearer alpha in the organization.

Your distinction read like justification to me. In any case, that’s what was bullshit— Not a single aspect of your argument held up against scrutiny.
You think bringing up an irrelevant piss poor analogy from 20 years ago involving two super stars is remotely comparable, or worse, somehow a presentation of "scrutiny"?

Man if you dont understand basic concepts of seniority, hierarchy, and common sense shit like weight/size disparities, then thats on you. Disputing those truths dont equal scrutiny... it equals idiocy.

Irrelevant? Anyone could see the clear relevance. Your hierarchy point was dismantled without rebuttal. And you have the nerve to throw around words like idiocy. :smh:
