{~}Official 2022-2023 NBA Thread - it’s that time again, this thread coming to a end

Damn...

There is a 30 for 30 short potential here

The entire city and fan base were foaming at the mouth for this player to be the next homegrown superstar

He was good... but it was more potential based

But it his game seemed like a nyc favorite with dunks etc

But for some reason him and Randall couldn't play together

Or is that more about Thibs coaching???

Those leaked recordings did NOT help

Unless Obi camp was FORCING a trade?

So was this more Obi falling short, Obi on the right team wrong time, or bad coaching?

Good luck to that young man.
Obi was supposed to be Randall’s replacement

Nobody knew he would have an mvp season

So now he has no playing time there

Holy sh*t

Portland better be careful...

@therealjondoe

Dame was mister league guy sh*tting publicly on OTHER PLAYERS AND TEAMS about super teams and forcing trades etc

Kinda defending the league and fans against player empowerment etc

And now to try to screw over "the good soldier" like this?

Could not only backfire on the franchise but also turn fan sentiment.

Just saying.

I'm very confused...

At first nba insiders were saying Harden was SMART for opting out

Then he was dumb because opting out makes it MORE difficult to trade

But I thought Harden and Daryll were boys and since last year had an arrangement in place

To the point weren't they hit with tampering fines?

Am I wrong?

@4 Dimensional @largebillsonlyplease @jack walsh13

Harden is dumb for opting out because he just cost him self a lot of money. Harden is 35 years old and he's not the same player he was that commands the max. Harden coukd have extended in Brooklyn but he forced a trade. He shit the bed in the 2022 playoffs and no one was gonna give him the contract he wanted. Morey and Hardens agent probably talked him into taking a pay cut and play his way into a larger contract. Well although Harden had a good great season and he's responsible for 2 wins against the Celtics, he's a year older and giving him max money is not in the best interest of the franchise. Chris Paul for instance signed a large contact and a year later it was clearly evident that Paul lost a step and was injury prone.

As a sixers fan, I approve this message.

Harden can go bye bye!

Harden on the Clippers doesn't make them favorites when they haven't had their best lineup available since the bubble. The Clippers are faced with a what if scenario of If only were healthy.

Portland is doing what's best for the organization. Lillard is under contract and gave the team more than 1 desired destination.

I don't feel bad for him not one bit.

He made his bed and now he has to lay in it.

Blazers gonna do whatever it takes to get the best deal.
Exactly. The GM's job is to look out for the team not the superstar who will no longer be there. Besides even if he does go to Miami the Blazers need to angle for the best leverage possible. Force Miami to involve a 3rd team who have assets that Portland likes if nothing else. Now it was kind of dumb on their part to give Grant all that money knowing that there was a good chance that Dame would ask for a trade in the immediate future if they didn't have any other moves lined up.

That team had 10 years to build something
