{~}Official 2022-2023 NBA Thread - it’s that time again, this thread coming to a end

They had 10 years to get him help
He said if they don't trade that pick for help he was gone

They made multiple playoff runs and failed. It not like he wasn't competing at all during his time there. They just sucked the last two seasons and the organization realized maybe trading a potential young cornerstone for some rentals wasn't the best idea

Then Dame is gone.

For sure. I just don't think other teams are going to be as willing to help in getting Dame to Miami as you think they are..

Like I rather Robinson, Martin and Jokic instead of Herro
Oh they're most likely going too along with picks
It's isn't herro for Dame straight up

But do you want Dame that much that you give up key rotational players and potentially future cornerstone young players when you were just a few games from a chip?

I trade Herro, I trade him for a missing piece or two (a young point/stretch five)

So, if Miami has the best offer, they shouldn't need a 3rd team to get the deal done.
Portland doesn't want a other shooting guard
That's where BK or San Antonio may come into play.
Herro gets rerouted and some other pieces/picks go to Portland
Portland is just acting like a hoe when they knew what was up.
Dame told them what it was now they wanna act surprised

Miami wants another big 3 thinking that dame is the final piece to help them win it all as they lose depth as well. The west teams are deeper now and are better than Miami even if they do get dame because it's not guaranteed they will get the championship.

For Dame you do it.
The Heat are trying to win a ring on Jimmy's timeline
Then they will reboot in a few years on Bam's timeline
The current iteration of the team has peaked

Strus and Gabe are already gone
We weren't going to overpay to bring them back and go into the 2nd apron tax
Martin has one year left on his cheap contract then he's gone

With Bridges at the two, we really don't need a shooting guard

I don't blame Portland, because why should they take herro just to give dame away when they can get something better than that which is why the heat need a 3rd team to take herro and so far no team has stepped up to do that.

Nobody is forcing them to take Herro
He can be sent elsewhere
The negotiations are ongoing
Remember stars run this league.
If Dame wants miami he's going to get to miami.
No team is going to put a bunch of assets on the line for a 30+yo with a huge contract that doesn't want to be there.

Yeah Portland is looking for a Superstar for Superstar swap.......they dont wanna budge off that.
I dont think they are just interested in "pieces" and "picks".

Right, dude out here hollering like Miami got the pieces to get dame. Blazers aren't gonna take any kind of trash the heat are willing to give for dame when they want a ready made player and herro isn't that.

If stars run this league then they would've went wherever they want to go but you fail to realize the people who give these players the checks to sign also can control what deals they want for that superstar player. So, like I said, the heat don't have nothing to give and herro isn't enticing enough that a 3rd team wants him.

They do go where they want
Ask KD, Harden, AD etc

Herro +
Lowry or Duncan which are expiring contracts which will get money off Portland's books +
Jovic last year's 1st round pick +
Jaquez this year's 1st round pick+
Plus 2 1st round picks is trash?
Plus you could do pick swaps
Or throw in Caleb Martin
Or flip Herro for more picks
That's nothing?

Not good enough Because Portland would've took that deal of it was good.

At an hour and five minutes I'm gonna need

The Blazers like most teams in the league just play basketball to have fun, because in the past 30 years no one thought the Blazers had a legitimate chance to win a championship...

Not even when they were in the Finals :roflmao:
