{~}Official 2022-2023 NBA Thread - it’s that time again, this thread coming to a end

I have no dog in this fight but this pisses me off. Dame is stupid if he doesn’t at least try to leave. It’s fucking Portland!!!! Ain’t shit in Oregon worth it unless you winning rings and he ain’t.
I still think he's leaving.
He didn't come out and say anything after the meeting.
He doesn't want to be perceived as the bad guy

I'm beginning to tire of him. He wants out, but won't say anything, because he doesn't want to look like a bad guy, which is stupid, because everyone is saying he'd be right to want out. How can you be a "bad guy" for doing something everyone supports? He needs to grab his nuts and ask out or shut the fuck up when he's still stuck in Portland not winning. Enough of this passive aggressive shit already!

Because all that cash shit he was talking about other players leaving and team loyalty.

Now, if he says anything about wanting a trade then he’ll be a hypocrite and he’ll have to eat crow for it. And he knows it.

So instead we get this bitch made passive aggressive behavior. And his album is garbage.

Here's the thing though, if thin skinned KD got over being called a hypocrite, surely Dame can too. KD ripped people for joining up, and then 2 years later, joined the Dubs. The only difference is people will be supporting Dame. Dude is just a goofball.

But you see KD wants all the smoke from his haters though. Dame doesn’t want to be anything other than a standup guy.

But I agree, people will support him. Right now, he his own worst enemy. Or maybe he is just scared of change.

Attending NBA dads Basketball Camp.. The struggle!!
Don’t disrespect the “GOAT” Curry. He got it out the mud in these NBA streets. From the days of him and Monta Ellis. Nobody thought he’d change the game back then gotdamn it
He was born by the river, and like that river, he's been running ever since.

Starring in national fastfood commercials with dad since age 5... Ghetto shit.
Curry had to play games while only having sugar water in his body. He was hungry!

:smh: :smh: :smh: :smh: :smh: :smh: :smh: :smh: :smh: :smh: :smh: :smh:

Why you gotta Carlton Banks the guy?

Yes, obviously he had a huge advantage with an NBA father. Hundreds of men are the sons of NBA players. How many people took advantage of their privilege with the ferocity Steph did? Take Kobe Bryant out of the conversation and nobody comes close.

Privileged? Obviously.

Hungry? OBVIOUSLY.

Don't pretend like the amazing hunger and incredible work ethic weren't there. He was built into what he was but it cannot be handed to you. Not what he has achieved. He's worked for it.

More coddling and reframing the guy as some sort of survivor and "against all odds" Champion.. :smh:

This has always been my issue with Steph Curry..

"Underrated."

I think that when your all-time ranking is ahead of where you were picked in your draft class, you were undeniably underrated. I don't think there's even an argument here.

I believe they've been trying for the past 2 seasons.

no one wanted his ass

The issue was that they were asking too much, and now this shit during the offseason is based around the salary cap and only a couple of teams have money

They could have traded him at the trade deadline and at least gotten something for him

The new CBA pretty much eliminated anyone from touching him even if they wanted too, because he's on his new contract.

I can agree with all this and still be appalled at the idea that was underrated and somehow beat the odds. The framing of Curry is always to portray him as this humble, overachieving kid who succeeded "despite". Its a bullshit narrative.

Guy went 7 in the NBA draft and was on NBA courts taking shots before he could walk.
