I have very mixed feelings about his report that Klay is still talking about wanting to be an all-star again... As I said here, I feel like he needs to be more of a role-player-- I guess that's the right approach for him to take while he's still getting paid $43 million next year but there's reporting the Warriors want to extend him at a reduced rate and, for the sake of the team and based on how reliable he was this postseason, I'm hoping that's a meaningful reduction but the all-star talk makes me wonder if he'll be amenable to that.

That’s 2012-2013 tho fam. Bron was drafted in 2003. The Big dogs in the West were very active at that time and at least a decade after. Let’s think about the teams Lebron carried. Lebron James and fucking Ira Newble wouldn’t have done shit in the West. Lebron James and big Z wouldn’t have made it to the Conference Finals or Finals like 9 straight times. He would’ve needed AD or somebody else to accomplish that. So I think it would’ve been more accurate to say, Bron and another Superstar could’ve fared well but the East got shitted on back then because they let Bron whoop their ass with G league type talent around him before he went to Miami.

No doubt, he definitely needed help just like every other star. But outside of 2007, he didn't have true success in the East either until he finally got some help. That's when he actually went to the Finals 8 straight years. Prior to that, Detroit and Boston kept stealing his lunch money. Lol. So he didn't benefit all that much during that time.

The last two years in Cleveland, the only benefit in being in the East was that he could lose to KD and the Warriors in the Finals instead of the West. That team was unbeatable and no one was going to beat them no matter what conference they were in. Outside of the Warriors, I don't think any team in the West would have beat the Cavs those two years either.
